How will service work when I live hundreds of miles from nearest Service Center (and other questions)?

I am on the (long) list of those who are hoping to get a new Gravity this year. I live in the Kansas City area. As far as I can tell, the nearest service center is in Chicago (500 miles away from me). I have some questions:

1) will I need to fly to Chicago to pick my new vehicle up or will they deliver it to me?

2) if I need any service that is greater than the mobile service can handle, how will that work? Flatbed my vehicle to/from Chicago? who pays for that? also: are the mobile service people pretty good at fixing most things?

3) if my car does go in for service, does Lucid provide a loaner car?

Thank you,

I live in KC as well and have had my Air Touring for a bit over two years. While its not as convenient as a dealership down the street, service for me has been a non-issue.

1) Lucid paid for airline tickets for me and my son to pick up the car and even sent an Uber to the airport to take us to the Goose Island Center. We drove it back to KC. They did offer to deliver it to my house but this was December 2022 and I need to take possession quickly for the tax incentive. I don't know for a fact is any of these programs are still in place.

2) I have had very few issues that required service. Mobile service is very quick. I think the service guy lives in Overland Park, KS. I've had them here a couple of times for small issues and once for the 12,000 mile check. If it is a repair that cannot be done by mobile service, they will arrange to transport it to Chicago at their expense. I've only needed that twice so far. First time it was in a covered trailer but they no longer offer that. The second time it was a multi-car open transport. Mobile and Goose Island service have been fantastic. The guy that came to my house was very knowledgeable and courteous. Fixed what I had asked for and then inspected and checked out the car for any other issues and outstanding Service Bulletin items. Same with Goose Island. My last service they replaced the drivers seat because the heating element was faulty. Then they did an inspection and found 3 other things I wasn't even aware of needing attention. One of which was the "nose lamp" which they replaced along with the associated trim panels.

3) Each time the car went to Chicago, they paid for a rental car. They prefer Enterprise and will set up a rental for you at the nearest neighborhood center. Easy-peasy.

I admit service was a concern before I purchased my car but I went into it with eyes wide open, knowing I might occasionally have to live with the inconvenience of shipping the car to Chicago. Two years later, it's really not a problem and the excellence of the car more than outweighs that inconvenience.
When you get that Gravity, look me up. I'd love to see it!

I just had the front strut replaced under warranty. I live in Columbus OH but the service needed to be done in Cold Water MI (west of Detroit). The repair only took a day but the car was gone for 2 weeks which I think was too long. The transport only took 5 hours each way so the car basically sat at the service center for 10 days waiting on a part. I don’t understand why the part wasn’t already there since this service was pre-scheduled in December. The car was fixed properly but returned in a covered trailer totally covered in dust including the interior. I found it really annoying that I had to clean the car after it was returned. I filled out a survey but don’t expect to hear back from Lucid as they haven’t responded to any prior survey’s I have filled out.
