How do you "lock" people into Gravity without locking them in?

Maybe the answer to this is obvious, but how do you let people (like teens) stay in the car when you leave, have it lock, but also allow them to unlock it if they need to get out? Is leaving the key fob the only way? If I walk away with the fob, the doors will lock but they won't be able to open them without setting off the alarm. Right? I had to do this today with my teen daughter, so I left the key fob, and she locked it from inside, but when I came back she couldn't unlock the car with the fob. She had to roll down the window and give me the fob. She was in the 2nd row so climbing up to unlock on the screen wasn't an option (nor should it be the only way to unlock from inside). There must be another way. If it wasn't user error when she tried to unlock with the fob, then that is dangerous. Hopefully Lucid thought of a way to do this that I just don't know about.

pull the lever manually I believe.
yes this seems to be the answer. I decided to have my daughter do another test. She was able to pull the handle manually without setting off the alarm. The side mirrors opened again, but it seems the door handles don't pop out on the exterior. She pushed the unlock button on the fob; was this necessary for her to be able to open the doors manually?

I am not sure of the intended behavior actually.
