Hello From Germany

Hello all,

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself. Two days ago I received my MY23 Air Pure AWD (ex demo car) and so far I'm really happy with it. Due to recent software updates in the EU the car improved significantly since I was demoing an Air Pure a few months ago.

I'm based in the northern part of Bavaria (Würzburg). We own a tiny house which we would like to power from the car battery during dark winter days. So looking forward to V2L capabilities being released for Lucid Airs

Beautiful Lucid PeterB! I miss living in Germany and have visited in and around Bavaria in the past. I lived in Bitburg while in the Air Force. I am sure the Air is amazing in Deutschland.

We picked up the car at the Lucid Studio in Munich. Was overall a great experience

I am sure you are enjoying the powerful thrust that your AT provides when in Sprint mode, although I would suggest use it sparingly as it can be habit forming when other vehicles attempt to push their luck in racing you !

The V2L capabilities will be provide you with good options for energy during the darker months, once you establish a comfort level with your daily driving needs and actual battery range. As you might have read, when driving with gentle acceleration and high regen, the car delivers good range, however AC/heating/cooling functions have a penalty that which I believe over time you will find the equilibrium between what you need to maintain that reserve for the battery. As has been discussed on the forum there is the usable range, reserve range (I avoid going below 30%, as I keep this as my reserve range) and sparingly going above 80% charge that will dictate your driving habits. Once you do the math, you will form driving habits to meet your objectives.

I'm currently on software version 2.6.9 which is the latest version for European cars.

Welcome and congrats on your new Lucid. Also in Bavaria
The biggest issue in Germany is range as the ideal speed for range is well below the average speed on the Autobahn around here

There is a big difference going for a quick sprint into the triple digits in the U.S. versus sustained driving above 100 miles an hour.
We found that other drivers on the Autobahn are curious when coming upon a Lucid and will engage in a quick race (just to understand what the car can do and check it out).
We usually lose after the catch up as the car is limited to only 140mph but it’s wicked fun.

Range will drop well below 50% so we always charge to 100% at home (up to 80% max on public chargers).

We just updated to 2.6.11…

In regards to V2L, I don’t think there is a timeline for that functionality. Come to think of it you might want to check if Lucid gave you a V2 charger that supports V2V.

That's another car. Since Lucid has its German headquarters in Munich you see quite a few Airs there... Overall it's still a super rare car in Germany, although everybody loves it when they sit in it
