Today you tap the shifter down into drive. If tap it again nothing happens, it of course remains in drive.

Here’s the idea:
1 tap = smooth
2 taps = swift
3 taps = sprint

If you’re in sprint then 1 tap returns you to smooth, 2 tap to swift.

This way while your driving you can shift between performance characteristics without using the touch screen.

I like to change characteristics while I drive. (Using swift on the on ramps and highway, smooth in town).

My assumption is this could be done via software update.

What do you think?

I like the idea. The only problem is that shifting into sprint requires that confirmation. And it's there for a reason. Lucid doesn't recommend people shifting into sprint on winter tires.

Good idea!
So, 4 taps = Launch Mode? ;)

The EQS has paddle shifters that control the re-gen. At first, I thought that they were a gimmick but found them useful in traffic.

Might as well just add the 5th. or 6th. tap sequence to the fob for this…..

Good point. May be on third click the confirmation screen is displayed.

"Alexa, I want to go STUPID FAST, please". Problem solved. ;) 🤣

How bout winking the eyes into the facial recognition camera?

Left wink then right wink - smooth
Left wink then right wink x 2 - swift
Blink x 5 - sprint

Setting Menu
Drive option - Eye movement change drivetrain (ON/OFF) toggle
*Disclaimer allergy season or red eyes not recommended to use this feature
