is it safe to charge my MB EQS580 SUV on the Lucid charger rated at 80amps?
 
Perfectly safe. Your EQS will limit the current to what the onboard charger can accept.
 
On the Mercedes me Connect app, if the Eco charging option is on, the car will charge at ~ 9kW, regardless of the amperage.
