Obviously winter efficiency goes down yada yada but I do track it a bit.
After charging at work yesterday, I got about 2.70 miles per kwh on the way home on my 8 mile drive. Back to work today, didn’t bother charging. On the way home I check my numbers and I’m down to 1.75.
But here’s the thing. It says I’ve used 14 kw for those 24 miles. I always charge to 80 and I’m currently at 70. The math doesn’t math (touring edition 92kwh battery). If I had used 14 kw, my battery should be at 65%.
Something is wonky and it makes the consumption look far worse than it is. I snapped a photo that I’ll upload once I remove privacy info etc.

The only thing I can think of is that “since last charge” means the beginning of your charging session instead of when you unplug and start driving. Your kWh used is not zero when you finish charging and start driving with your battery at 80%. It includes energy used while charging. What leads me to suspect this is the thread: trip efficiency is wrong and here’s my proof.

I know this is strange and not what we would expect. I have a Gravity and “since last charge” has always started at the expected zero kWh used when I unplug. Can you check the kWh used when you unplug and start driving at your next charging session for your Air (in cold temps where your Air would use significant charge while charging)?

The only other alternative is that your battery was at 85% at the start of your drive and you didn’t notice.

Super interesting because when I left work, I put it straight to the trip screen to see just how bad my commute would be. It read 0 miles, 0 kwh.
Additionally I plugged in at work today and everything was set to 80%. I've actually never moved the charge percentage since I've owned the car. Either the battery is wrong or the trip computer on this one IMHO. Wonder if this is a common occurrence.

"Since last charge" is always off for me. I have no clue how it's calculated.

I just do it like you do it...in my head. I have a GT so the larger battery, so I just calculate that every % is ~1.1kwh. I even go a little further to make it easier on my head: I expand the mileage driven to 100%. I know how many km/kwh (or miles) I should be aiming for...and on a 100% charge, that should give me about 400kms. So if I extrapolate my current mileage on this trip from the percentage, i look for that number (and see where it is relative to that number).

Love my car...but this is an example of how some little software things are a little irritating.
