Does delete pipe have any meaning in EV discussions or is it ICE-only terminology

Hello everyone.

I keep running into the term delete pipe in automotive discussions, but I’m struggling to understand if it has any relevance to EVs like the Lucid Air or if it is strictly an internal combustion engine concept.

In ICE contexts it seems tied to removing emissions or exhaust-related hardware, but that does not translate directly to EV architecture.

Has anyone here ever seen the phrase used in a Lucid or EV-specific context, or is it just a leftover term from ICE tuning culture that gets misapplied online?

I am also curious if EV communities have their own equivalent delete terminology beyond cosmetic mods like chrome delete or badge delete, and what those actually involve in practice.

I don't think EVs have a pipe delete equivalent, though chrome and badge delete sound like pretty normal things to consider for EVs. Unless you're willing to go as crazy as doing straight-cut gears
