Distance adjustments using gap settings button

In my last car, an Audi S6, the following distance at each setting varied by drive mode. “One click” on the “Dynamic” setting was much closer than the same setting in “Econ” mode. Chair you tried closing the gap by selecting Swift or Sprint modes? I haven’t tried yet.

Hi, I have been observing lately that my car is maintaining LOT of distance from front car in adaptive cruise or drive assist. Please see attached image. Even when I select one bar using gap settings button on steering wheel, distance between front car and mine is too big. It's on straight highways too, no turns. Is this sensor recalibration issue or software issue or working as designed? Can someone please confirm before I bother service center? ThanksView attachment 31119

As designed. It’s not close enough to prevent people from cutting in front of you either, unfortunately.
