Yes, I did my test drive from Short Hills, which is closest to me in Philadelphia area. I missed some communications that went into the junk folder because I was focused only on the emails / texts / calls DA I'd been emailing. I completely missed the first delivery day notification, only finding it when I got an email saying they will deliver it on 30 sept., then another email 5 min. later saying, 29 Sept. The email I did not find said it was to be delivered on the 28th Sept. Glad I did not see it then (sent on 24th) as I would have been locked up. Have new medications ... seem to be working.
I drove my DA crazy going back and forth on where / how delivery. Was going to try to ship it directly to my detailer, but that didn't make sense when I thought more about it. I've been overwhelmed with something like covid brain....it may be all the excitement. I really honestly did not expect to hear about delivery this year, so I was unprepared for all that has happened this past week. I spend 5 hours this am posting about how the key fob works. No, it wasn't the battery. I read that part weeks ago, here. I was pressing on the icons on the back side. I did not know that the hidden button has no icon. Simple when you know .... impossible to tell if you don't.
I can understand why home delivery might be fraught when you are delivering 50 cars / day. Glad to have experienced it myself ( I ordered this car 25 Dec. 2021 confirmed 1 Mar 2022 VIN 14 Sep 2022 Delivery 29 Sep 2022.
Brennan was my DA . He was absolutely as happy as I was. We just stood there and grocked the car. He was very patient with me and a joy to be around with his positive energy. The car was shipped to Chicago for final inspections, then to me here in the Philly 'burbs. This is the way.
Whilst I await a slot in the detailer's schedule I am told DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR, which the wife loves. This is very hard to not do. Very hard. I did a lap around the block (residential) in this epic fall weather. Very hard not to drive to Pittsburgh for some cigarettes. I don't smoke but would take it up if I could drive the car now. Meanwhile I am sitting in the car learning the menus. Also, unexpected bonus: I'm learning how a smart phone works, and there is nobody under 60 years old near me.
