I feel it only appropriate that I type and post this from the second row seat of my Gravity.

My wife and I have five grands; three of whom are little girls under the age of six, other two are teen boys. My youngest son bought me a car seat for one of the three girls (his daughter) as a birthday present. He knows they are a big reason for my purchase of a Gravity. This afternoon I spent time installing a seat cover and that car seat.

After getting everything mostly in place, I pull the door lever to exit the second row. Nothing. Yep. Locked. I had left my phone in the house, so I couldn't bring up the manual or call my wife. I reach to the pilot panel to bring up the manual, but as you may know, the manual is not searchable. Fiddled through the settings on the Pilot Panel. Vehicle/ Doors & Locks. Nothing about child safety locks.

I didn't want to dirty the front seats stepping through from the second row. I eventually took my shoes off and made my way to the front seat.

FYI; Child Locks is accessed from the Quick Controls (tap top of Pilot Panel or pull down).

Man!!!

Haha #kidproblems
Their parents would agree.

Both sets of parents of the three girl grands all said I shouldn't let them eat in my car. I probably won't, but then there's always the possible throw-up.

Looking forward to journeys where we exit to eat.
I say that and yet, I know me.
I'll eventually give in, so I have the protective seat cover.

So, the Child Safety Lock control worked as designed! To be released by an adult in the front seat. Thank you, Lucid!

Released in that an adult has to either open the rear door from the outside or turn off the control from the Pilot Panel.

You didn’t have your fob on you? 😆
Key card.
Wasn't going anywhere.
I relied on the center console not reading the card and it did not disappoint.

I did learn that since the key card is not being recognized by the car for driving, after a period of time, the car shut down. Pulled door handle to wake it up and exit.
