I have a 7 YO Chargepoint charger. In September it started not working. I would get 'cable connected' but it would never kick in to charging. I cleaned out all of the leads and it would work sporadically. Since it had a 100 amp circuit anyway i had a plug installed and use the Lucid cable.
Today, at my other home, the same thing happened with my 6 YO Chargepoint. Drove to public Chargepoint a few blocks away and it started right up.at this house i am only running an 80 amp circuit.
I was planning on getting the Lucid Charger with my $1k credit and hardwiring into 100 amp circuit, but can't use the Lucid cable at house #2 since it is an outdoor connection and i can't install a outlet.
Any ideas on why these 2 chargers seem to have failed? Any suggestions for reliable charging?
Unfortunately my Bolt is at the other house so i can't see if it works with it.
Thanks

Was the public Chargepoint you drove to also an AC level 2 (slow) charger? Is Lucid's mobile charging cable working OK with your car?
If yes, your level 2 charging problems sound like a coincidence, however unlikely.

The car's charging circuitry for AC level 2 charging is 90% separate and unrelated to the circuitry used for DC fast charging - in case that is the type of Chargepoint station you drove to.

Yes. Public charger is level 2 (free). Don't have the Lucid Cable with me as i don't have a 240 outlet here.
Weird coincidence.
Thanks

I have issues with my CP charger at home as well. It worked fine for 3 years. With the new Lucid, I have to turn power off at the breaker every time I want to charge it.

Used a qtip and alcohol to clean the plug. Working now. A lot of black soot came out
