The CCS1 to NACS adapter has a long pin on the NCAS side.
Do I cut it off before using?
Putting this side by side with the J1772 adapter, looks like it will not insert into the port as deeply as the J1772 with the pin on.

That pin is a connection verification pin and is definitely needed. Gravity will charge just fine with this pin.

There's no place for that pin to go in my charge port, though. It would hit the plastic casing and prevent the adapter to go any further.
Is my charge port missing something?
Thanks.

No, do not cut it off (!) and no, your port is fine- this is the insert stopper. The smallish end of the adaptor needs to be longer than a typical NACS charger so that the larger end has room to exist in the smaller charging port, and so, as it says in the manual:

NOTE: The insert stopper on the adapter will keep it from being inserted too far and damaging the vehicle's charge port.
