I switch between CarPlay and Lucid but use CarPlay more since it boots automatically and has been reliable since 2.80. When GM decided to forbid CarPlay (and AA) as even an option that was the deal breaker for me. My wife would probably like to have the new Bolt when it’s released next year but I’d rather buy the product than be the product. I killed OnStar on my current Bolt since it’s a drive around town car anyway (it was the first one sold in CT and has no fast charging) and sometimes it tries to give me a sales pitch when I’m backing out of the garage. No thanks. When GM’s software first came out it bricked several vehicles with no immediate fix. Again, no thanks.
CarPlay Ultra? I’m fine with how Lucid has set up their displays. Yet having the ability to customize all the screens (provided Apple allowed use of the Pilot Panel) could be interesting. It would require a lot of work on the part of Lucid to implement it and unless Apple allowed use of some data sharing it’s probably DOA.
