CarPlay connection question

How do I know if I am playing music using USB and not bluetooth when using Apple CarPlay?
When I get out of my car and disconnect my phone from USB, the music continues to play without Interruption, so it was playing using bluetooth while my phone was connected to USB.
Anyway to check and ensure the music is played using USB?
Also, I use Youtube to play my songs.

On the iPhone: settings > general > CarPlay > Lucid. Turn off the CarPlay toggle. Wired will still work but wireless won’t.
