I'm curious if any fellow site members have been quoted trade in values on any cars recently. Yesterday I was quoted $15K on the wifes 2021 Mach-E select with 55K miles. I was shocked to say the least. CARMAX and a dealer were within $500 of each other. The CARMX associate made a statement suggesting the car market was crumbling.

I recently sold my Audi e-tron GT. It was a deal to sell the car outright (the trade-in values were about 15% higher). I checked Carvana, KBB, Edmunds and Carmax. The delta between all of them was less than a couple grand. The first dealer we went to reneged on the deal. I was polite but told him his approach was shady and reported him to CarMax. I contacted a second CarMax dealer and got the whole deal done in less than an hour. I thought the values were pretty reasonable. I could have made $8-$10k more selling it privately, but it was not worth the hassle to me.
