Greetings... I recently went on a trip for a week. While I was gone the car was parked for 6 days in a secure lot near Denver. When I returned the windshield had a giant crack that ran horizontally along the very bottom of the windshield (black area just above the wipers) for about a foot, then turns upward running all the way to the housing for camera and sensors at the top-center. There are no impact cracks in the window, temperatures were very mild over the week, nobody touched the car, no visible impact area, and no scars that would suggest something fell on it. The crack zig-zags a lot making frequent 30 to 40 degree bends as it makes it's way to the top. My first impression is that there was some kind persistent stress from the window frame that finally relieved itself. The car has experienced no rough roads, banging curbs, or gravel damage. Lucid customer care has opened a case for the service center to evaluate. Car is well within the warranty. I wanted to mine the wisdom of people on this forum to find out if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, how the company handled it. I've seen windows crack that way, usually when someone makes the bad decision to pour hot water on a frozen windshield. It must have endured a lot more temperature swings when it was sitting out in the desert in Casa Grande (as opposed to last week in Colorado). Any thoughts are appreciated!
