We are on our first trip that requires charging en route. But we can’t figure out where it shows the required charging stops on the route. We had our destination plotted and it showed 31% on arrival. The route had us get off the interstate but we weren’t sure why. Turns out it was routing us to a charging stop but we had no idea it had that planned for us. We were confused and didn’t make the stop and kept going on the planned route. After we skipped the charging stop, the charge at destination changed to 20%. So it is fine but where did we miss the planned charging stop displayed on the route? Is there a setting we don’t have turned on? We are coming from a Tesla where it displayed distance to next charging stop along with distance to final destination. We have a much longer part of the drive tomorrow and need to be able to see our charging stops.

Examine your route before you start driving. You’ll see charging stops all along your route labeled A, B, C, etc on the main map. Your final destination won’t have a label.

You can also click the turn by turn directions to see the list of stops as well as add additional stops, remove stops, and re-order stops. In the settings menu, you can set desired charge at charging stops and destination. There are also filters on the navigation menu for which charging stations to show/consider.

In general, though, I’d recommend doing some planning to set your own charging stops and select highly rated chargers with the amenities that you desire (bathroom/food). You’ll need to use Google or another app to get a description of the charging stations. Some people recommend PlugShare and ABRP.

If you pull the nav app down to the pilot panel it's much easier to see the route overview, and I believe it displays any stops in the route.

Thanks for the help. We have started and see our charging stop listed today. We did change one setting that may have taken care of the problem. The navigation needs a bit of tweaking to be as easy as Tesla’s but these suggestions help.

Also, under the guidance settings you can set it to show the waypoint destination info in addition to the final destination on the map guidance info.

Also, I’d still use the phone app to make sure everything is compatible. The car nav continues to sometimes lead me to chargers that aren’t compatible. That was supposedly fixed in an OTA, but I still have the issue. Phone app has always been accurate.
