Looks like this unfortunate lady had a history of getting confused with the gears on a Tesla touchscreen.

I know some people with Teslas drive with a rear view camera on all the time. Perhaps time to stop that habit so you have an extra indication that reverse is engaged. Maybe carmakers should be made to add in car music when reverse is engaged.

I can't even imagine the gear shifting being on a touchscreen! My last car had the main volume control on the touchscreen and I could never reliably hit it. It should just be really obvious at all times what gear you're in.
