2022 vs 2023 MODEL YEAR
Does anyone know when a vehicle coming off the production line will be considered a 2023 model?

I was wondering the same thing. They seem to have had a big gap in assigning vins with the shutdown review so I think they may switch when they restart.

Be interesting to see how they handle it. Lucid, like Most of the direct to consumer automakers, don’t follow the strict model year…model. I don’t see why they wouldn’t just follow the calendar (VINs that roll out of the factory before 12/31 would be 2022 models)

I find it kind of silly seeing “2023” model year cars starting to be sold mid 2022, but that’s how the traditional automakers try to keep the wind in their sales (“ALL NEW for 2023, 2.7 more hp, heated rear view mirror, and even more hideous plastic exterior cladding!”)
