Gravity Ground Touring
My gravity is now in its third tow to the service center. Twice now for the same issue - complete drain of both 12v batteries. This is incredible frustrating (especially when you only have one car). Three times now Lucid has had to pay Ubers for me to take my kindergartener to school.

Customer service has been great but that doesn’t make up for not having my vehicle. Each repair has been a defect - corroded connectors for the door or loose/defective connectors for the battery terminals.

Is anyone else having 12v battery issues? Has anyone had success in just getting a replacement gravity on their lease?

I can deal with software bugs but this has been all mechanical defects.

I have the air and never had an issue with the 12v. It has been super glitchy so maybe you are keeping the keys too close to the car when parked. Your phone can be a key so maybe you keep walking too close. Even though mind is plugged in, it uses the hv battery to power HVAC instead of wall power. Makes no sense. Maybe yours is using 12v power to lock/unlock with the light show and all. I honestly don’t have a clue.

Second issue. Did I mention glitchy… if you only own one car, this should not be it. Get yourself a Toyota or a Honda. Does not matter how old.

sorry to hear that. :(

one would think the Gravity would have sensors on the 12v to warn of low voltages. annoyingly, my Land Rover is constantly telling me that.

where physically is the 12v in the Gravity?

(and to the Air responder, the Gravity doesn't have "phone as a key" yet.)

I just took my Air in for 1 year service. /s First time.
I have had the car (delivery 9/22) over 3 years = it's flawless so no reason to take it in, but decided it was time for brake fluid change (even though I never use the brakes).
They replaced both 12v batteries under warranty ??? Car was fine = I had no indication the 12v system was weak.

I keep my fobs in a Faraday cage but recently have been using the mobile key on my phone : maybe that has been taxing the batteries?
I hate my phone = people keep calling me or texting me. I miss the old days when people could not reach you, ever. When i turn it off for theater or silent meeting (Quaker) I often don't get calls/messages all week, then discover it has been off all week when I go to turn it off. Win / Win !

Oh, Lucid service does not do state safety inspection. I have never had a PA safety inspection done. Oh well.
Cops seem to too busy (xxxxxxxxx) to notice the stickers.

Anyone else not bothering to get state safety/ emission stickers for their EVs ?

It does have sensors so that’s why it wouldn’t drive.

Service says it’s definitely a fault in the vehicle, not key fobs. They are replacing the inverter.

There are two 12v batteries and they are only accessible by removing a panel.

It sounds like an issue with the DC DC inverter…

Lemon Law time? I hope that yours is a "freak" situation and not widespread to other cars. I'm not sure I could tolerate that and I have 4 cars.
Down time on these cars is about $40/day and that is the lease payment only. Add insurance and your time spent dealing with this and it could easily add up to $100/day. Then there is the lost confidence in the car. That is the worst problem. Hope you get a resolution.

meant an "impending doom" warning to let one know the battery is below a certain threshold and needs to be looked at... before one is stranded.
