Question? I have a 2022 AGT which is 4 and 1/2 years old. Approximately how long does the 12 volt battery last before it needs to be replaced. I know in non EV cars they usually last anywhere from 4-6 or 7 years. No idea if this time period is shorter, longer or the same in EV's or specifically in my AGT.

Your owner's manual states the 12v should be replaced every 4 years. Crack it open and take a look at the maintenance schedule, you might be missing more items that need attention. More subsystems depend on the 12v than in a typical ICE since there's no accessory belt to power things like power steering, coolant pumps, etc. This can cause more wear on the 12v battery than in a typical ICE vehicle.

EVs use their 12Vs a bit more. In addition to the usual things that need to be powered on when the car is locked, several systems stay on or turn on intermittently to check the BMS. Because of this, the car will deplete and then recharge (with HV) the 12V battery more often.

Seems like a good run. My ld old model 3s seemed to drain through then after 2+ years.

I don't think any ICE built in the last 10 years has had a power steering belt. AFAIK They've all been electrically powered.

One factor is the climate you're in.
Here in the desert, ICE batteries last 2-4 years.
My 2022 EQS needed a new 12V battery last year.
My Lucid Air didn't, but it had lower mileage than the EQS.

I've seen a few singular "12v battery" mentions in this thread so far. Keep in mind the Lucid Air has two. One in the trunk (right side, under liner) and one beneath the back seat (pull up firmly, mind the occupant detection harness).
