"Announced CEO transition..." Rawlinson out as CEO

Rivian bought an existing plant. Lucid started out from zero

Docusign tax related received from Lucid

Received mine too, and started adding to my tax return. H&R block software is asking me whether this is a prize or award. I am a bit unsure. Does anyone have any idea?

This is getting serious. DD Pro thinks the dotted line is the center of the lane.

I wish that Lucid vehicles get the comma open pilot support. There seems to be some good progress in supporting Rivian recently. It will be amazing if Lucid also gets it somehow. If I am not wrong, openpilot support can even enable the vehicles with base DD to be able to do lane-centering.

    Keyboard blunder?

Now that we are discussing the keyboard, I have a minor inconvenience that I hope Lucid can fix in any future update. If I have something in the cup holders, it's very difficult to type. If it was a floating keyboard that I can move around the screen, that will be perfect.

Are We Asking the Wrong Question About Charging?

This article seems to be from an old press release from 2020. I think only a single trim existed during those times? Anyways, it's usually followed by all automakers in advertising their best numbers and features as if it's a standard feature, but only available in top trim. It's misleading...

Are We Asking the Wrong Question About Charging?

I agree that people are often comparing with ICE cars for 'filling up'. However, unlike many folks who travel between cities, my road trips are almost always to national parks or similar places. That means I will need to charge to 80% or beyond to keep enough buffer for driving around. And, then...

For Sale LEASE TAKEOVER - 2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD

That's really bad. Just FYI for anyone who wanted to try this in California. The state allows sales tax exemption when you do a lease buyout if your intention is to resell the vehicle. But, you have to do this within 10 days of receiving the title, and the vehicle should not have been used for...

Biden Administration to Lend $6 Billion for Rivian E.V. Factory

I was closely watching their financials and wondered about this too. Based on what I see from their vehicle and events, they are probably doing a massive brand awareness campaign so they will be in good shape when their R2/R3 are out on the market. I don't know if it will work as expected, or...

    Lucid Home Charger Delayed

This. I used this website called Pirateship which costs cheaper but still be using UPS. Shipping the Lucid charger costs about $30. I used this service twice. Once for Lucid charger, and another time for Tesla connector.

    Possibility of $7500 Gov't hand out going away . . . thoughts ? ?

I am more worried about how this affects the charging infra rather than tax credits on leases/purchases. Infra is possibly a big reason for the seemingly saturated EV market at present in the US. I suppose the IRA had some good funding towards charging infra. I am not sure if flow of those funds...

Adding an LLM support to this forum

Not sure if it's true as I don't really use meta apps, but I just came across some facebook screenshots where their AI model summarizes discussion threads in fb groups or in popular fb posts. Given that this forum repeatedly gets the same topic and questions that was discussed over and over, I...

    Cadillac Vistiq

I saw a video where it says third row is a bit cramped for adults. It's competitive to Volvo EX90. I like the pricing. I suppose their super cruise comes standard, that's a big plus.

    RESOLVED In home charger

Is this the universal wall connector? Or the normal wall connector with some third party adapter? If it's the universal, did you try other configurations in the Tesla app? I heard that it was working only in compatibility mode for some EVs. That's worth a shot. I think, although Lucid may not...

    NACS Megathread

Hyundai just announced more details of 2025 Ioniq5 (USA made with native NACS port). It comes with 135kw converter for 400V, making it a bit more faster at Tesla V3 stations.

    Charging rate question.

Charging current is always limited by the circuit breaker, assuming the wires and chargers are rated for the current. In your case, I guess it's the breaker so (50x0.8) x 240V = 9.6kw If your panel allows, you may be able to go for a higher amp circuit, if you are using Lucid home charger. For...

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

I think it's not simply about one unique experience someone got into. It's about how the company is giving a hard time to a customer for a situation which is quite common sense for any company to do the job under warranty. It says more about the management, and how they are behaving very...

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

I think you have a strong case now. The vehicle says it's up to date. And as per you, Lucid did confirm that the warranty was up to date before purchasing the car. I would suggest reaching out to their PR folks or someone in twitter or any other medium. If nothing works, this is an interesting...

    NACS Megathread

There are some rare stations for both EA and Chargepoint that won't reach Lucid no matter how you park. For the EA station, I was able to do it once by taking three parking spots. But, that's impossible at that Walmart during busy hours.

    NACS Megathread

Between the charging limitation to 50kw, and the position of charging port, I would complain more on the position of charging port. 2025 is the year Tesla is planning to ramp up their vehicle production further too, making superchargers more crowded. I don't see it practical to occupy 2 or 3...
