    A pillar blind spot concerns

Oh wow, this reminded me of the very first time I test drove the Air, yes the A pillar created a significant and noticeable blind spot. I've owned the car for 1.5 years and I completely forgot about the A pillar blind spot until now! Yes, you quickly get used to it.

    My rain sensor is broken!

My trusty rain sensor...cough (lidar) used to warn me about all forms of precipitation... from the imperceptible drizzle to torrential downpours, all forms of liquid precipitation reliably triggered a rain alert (cough.... lidar fault error) It just occurred to me today, while enjoying HFDA in...

Front Suspension Hopping after bump in the road??

I've had the same exact thing, it almost felt like the feeling when ABS braking kicks in, and yes it feels like "hopping", rapid bouncing for a few minutes.

    2.8.0 Feedback Only!

Wow!! I'm so impressed with the 2.8 update. The app wakes up the car much much faster. The handsfree drive assist exceeded my expectations on my morning commute of 45 mins. It stayed well centered, and the episodes of phantom braking I previously experienced ( approaching overpasses or next to...

    RESOLVED lucid's windshield sunshade

I've had the sunshade for a year, and I absolutely agree there's a break in period, for me it was a few weeks and it got really easy to insert and remove after this. Additionally, regarding the gap around the cut out for the sensor suite, I recently found out that angling the visor inferiorly...

    2.8.0 Software Update

Glad to hear the update is rolling out. I'm looking forward to receiving it. Kudos to the lucid team on the string of recent software/hardware updates (drive assist, AA, processor hardware etc). Hopefully, sentry mode/dashcam isn't too far out.

    “Drive System Warning”

My coolant pump for the front drive unit was replaced last week too. The harness to the rear unit was also replaced for being too short. No errors visible to me or any driving issues, but lucid called me based on a remote fault diagnosis. Car was in service for 2 wks, unfortunately my local...

    Tarrifs

rare earth restriction by China is another challenge for EV companies like Lucid as China processes >90% of rare earths. Hopefully Lucid has enough inventory to survive this period of turbulence and uncertainty.

Lucid Air rendered as a wagon (hypothetical)

Reminds me of a Taycan sports Turismo from this angle, a car I also bought instead of lucid.

hood leading edge chip - stealth - chip repair?

i'll just caution if you go with dr. colorchip, be careful, test it out in an inconspicuous area first. i used dr. colorchip on a previous car, and it was a huge color mismatch! You can try one one of the approved lucid paint/body repair shops, i think u can order a touchup pen from them.

    New App update

Agreed, new app update (Android) has cool new features, and it's more intuitive as well. Kudos to the lucid team. Hopefully Android Auto isn't too far behind.

    Rawlingson resigns

Yeah I didn't see this coming especially at this crucial time with Gravity's launch. As an external observer, Peter definitely seems like a visionary, a steady hand, and a great ambassador /public face of lucid. His engineering background at the helm also lends credibility to the brand...

    All Season Tires/Wheels

Yes they do. This season we had above average snow levels, and a few deep freezes, just earlier this week it was -15F with the windchill, I had no concerns about the Michelin PS all seasons The only time I had traction issue, was with an episode of freezing rain where black ice formed. The...

    All Season Tires/Wheels

I'll share my experience for those on the fence between summer/winter setup vs all seasons. I've had both setups with different cars in the Midwest (IL), and we get real winters here. Winter/summer setup: bmw 750i x drive (AWD) -Stock tires were staggered 21" summer tires (Pzero run flats) -...
