Is this experience common when attempting to lease or buy?

For funsies, I mapped out a charging route on the way to Austin. Not bad. 2 EA locations along the way, and an odd "Francis Energy" before Austin, assuming Lucid charges you to 100% before you leave. Looks like a fun drive! evnavigation.com

Is this experience common when attempting to lease or buy?

Hmm, yeah that wasn't my experience at all. Mine was what I've called "Apple-esque" but maybe that's because I visited the Chicago satallite showroom. The sales reps there were exceedingly thorough and prompt. Even the people I dealt with at the main Chicago depot were very prompt. My only...

Disable auto phone unlock at home

I turned off my Mobile Key in my phone app. It got ridiculous how many times the car would wake up when I was in and out of the garage doing yard work.

    Tesla lays off Supercharger team

I'm really not sure there is. My bet is that he demanded 20% headcount cuts from all his department heads. Tinucci either stonewalled or wasn't willing to part with that many people in her group. Musk, incensed by the insubordination, fired the whole dang team as an example. I really do...

Why even have brakes when everything can be full regenerative braking now? /s

    Tesla lays off Supercharger team

Yeah in seriousness, what's the point of this? I'm trying to think....if the NACS becomes the industry standard, is Elon thinking they don't have to do anything anymore? It's fully adopted and someone else can take over? Which is wild, because even though "your" connector is now open, Tesla was...

I can't find any headlines on that yet in print.....but I did find THIS! #annoying https://jalopnik.com/elon-musk-took-17-million-in-federal-charging-grants-b-1851447241

    Lucid app update v1.49.0

Was at the Chicago owners group meet-up this past weekend and Zak, an executive was there. There was definitely a question about Android app. Sounds like they're definitely working on it, but like others here have said, they're running into dev issues that have not been easy to solve. They...

    To the Motor City!

We took a great little road trip to the Detroit metro area this past weekend. It was a fantastic weekend for a drive. And it gave us a new opportunity to check out the fast charging network on the way from IL. Which....leads me to saying...the network is "not great." But! The Lucid itself was...

I'm planning on going! Can't wait to see what this is about. Learn some new stuff. See some cool models. Bring my questions in hand.

Play Dolby Atmos tracks in Surreal Sound Pro

It does indeed seem like CarPlay "would" support Dolby Atmos playback now. BUT, Lucid, as the dev, needs to activate that in their deployment of CarPlay, and then send an update to our cars. Tic toc, Rawly.

Mileage experience after 5k miles on GT

AC should not at all be the power-suck that it seems to be? That's the whole point of the advent of heat pumps. They're far more efficient, and less drain than resistant heaters, and the AC is just a heat pump "in reverse."

Insurer would not cover a Lucid

That's wild! I've never heard of that before, not covering prior to ownership. I had a feeling it was an independent rep that either didn't want to deal with replacement parts, or....for "whatever" reasons, didn't want to touch electric cars. With Libbity Bibbity, my new Jeep rate stung, but...

Lane keep assist not recognizing lane markings

Well, comparing the system to the same system in my '23 Grand Cherokee (yes both are "just" lane keep assit), the GC will very consistently notice and nudge me back in the lane as the tires approach and almost touch the lane line/road edge. It will then haptically inform while still applying...

Lane keep assist not recognizing lane markings

Duly noted. My model does not have the Highway Assist. Only the Lane Keep Assist, which doesn't work too well.

Lane keep assist not recognizing lane markings

Sorry if I'm "zombie'ing" this thread. Figured I'd give some feedback on my Lane Keep Assist experience so far. I have a '23 Air Pure, with regular DreamDrive. Lane Keep Assist has been pretty useless for me, on the Air, and I have to surmise it's because of standard DreamDrive and its lack...
