Lease return excess wear & tear

B of A has to get repair prices from somewhere - isn’t that from Lucid? I would think they have to send the inspection report to Lucid and then request prices for whatever needs to be fixed.

New to the Lucid Family - From Model X to Gravity Dream Edition

I feel like my S Plaid doesn’t pull as much as launch, even at speed. It is like an on/off switch, and 60-100 happens in a blink just like 0-60. There is no real build of speed, it is just instantly there. I imagine most super high power EVs have roughly the same capability, just a different...

New to the Lucid Family - From Model X to Gravity Dream Edition

The X is flawed in some serious ways that immediately disqualify it for a lot of people, us included. The falcon doors are an example of Tesla’s “fix something that isn’t broken” mentality, just like removing the stalks. The Gravity, if it delivers all that promises, should definitely be able...

    Window Tint and Warnings Galore

Is it possible that they covered up some sensors/camera with tint that is too dark? Prolly not, but just throwing it out there

2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring vs 2022 Audi E-tron GT

Great write up - enjoy the new Air! I also think the Audi (and Taycan) are some of the best looking EVs out there, but seems like a lot of compromises with range, price, dealer experience, etc. After all, what is Lucid’s tagline? 😜

    Charging Frustration

It actually says more about the delivery process and his sales associate than it does the ability to charge at Tesla or not. No way should anyone drive off in their new Lucid and think they can go to a supercharger right now - not the customer’s fault I guess, and shows there is more education...

    Charging Frustration

Not sure why you think you can charge at Tesla superchargers when Lucid hasn’t been granted access yet. I think it has to be at a magic dock location, of which there are like 4 in the country.

Lucid Earth (midsize crossover): ready by summer 2027?

Will be interesting once the Rivian R2 comes out and I guess we’ll see how many people were really waiting on a midsize EV SUV that isn’t a Tesla. My wife out of the blue asked me about it the other day.

    LCID stock comparison to TSLA

You can really like the car, even consider it better than Tesla, but also realize it has been a terrible investment. So far the best way to make a small fortune in LCID is to start with a large fortune. The way the Gravity launch has gone probably isn’t a great indicator of future stock...

    Lease return difficulties

I never return a rental car without making any employee look it all over with me and agree that there is no damage. No way I want to be on the hook for something that happens after I left, so I always wait to make sure they sign off. Why would the lease end not be the same? I can’t imagine...

    Tinted Windows and Lease Return

My tint shop charges $25 to remove tint so $200 is def way too high. Enjoy the car the way you want it and deal with all that later.

Cost to Replace Cracked Rear Window?

Well, my insurance premiums keep going up at every renewal because everyone else seems to be using their insurance while I have had zero claims. The reality is we are all getting screwed whether we make claims or not, so avoiding making one doesn’t really save us any money on premiums anyway...

Cost to Replace Cracked Rear Window?

Why own insurance if you don’t want to use it? No way I’d absorb a $7k repair if it is a covered expense. My goal is to get more out of insurance than I ever pay in premiums, and you can’t do that without claims. :)

Lucid Cancelled my Air GT Reservation

Disappointing, but your first and most critical mistake is believing that any company cares about you. They care about your money - they don’t know you, don’t care about you, and don’t remember you already. They are all faceless corporations, even though some might do a better job of making...

Why not drop price of Air instead of "Air Credit" on invoice?

Would also hurt residuals if they just lower the price versus offering “credits”.

    Lease return difficulties

I bet there’s a really good middle ground where the price is the price, ordering is done using advanced tech, but you have a concierge who really does provide high touch support through the entire process, from ordering to finance to delivery to service. I prefer dealing with good honest people...

Park Place BodyWerks - Repair Experience and Insurance Cost

Wow - that’s too bad. Park Place should know how to work on high dollar stuff too - no way that should be considered acceptable. Surprised they even said that was good to go.
