Great write up - enjoy the new Air! I also think the Audi (and Taycan) are some of the best looking EVs out there, but seems like a lot of compromises with range, price, dealer experience, etc. After all, what is Lucid’s tagline? 😜

It actually says more about the delivery process and his sales associate than it does the ability to charge at Tesla or not. No way should anyone drive off in their new Lucid and think they can go to a supercharger right now - not the customer’s fault I guess, and shows there is more education...

Not sure why you think you can charge at Tesla superchargers when Lucid hasn’t been granted access yet. I think it has to be at a magic dock location, of which there are like 4 in the country.

I never return a rental car without making any employee look it all over with me and agree that there is no damage. No way I want to be on the hook for something that happens after I left, so I always wait to make sure they sign off. Why would the lease end not be the same? I can’t imagine...

Well, my insurance premiums keep going up at every renewal because everyone else seems to be using their insurance while I have had zero claims. The reality is we are all getting screwed whether we make claims or not, so avoiding making one doesn’t really save us any money on premiums anyway...

Why own insurance if you don’t want to use it? No way I’d absorb a $7k repair if it is a covered expense. My goal is to get more out of insurance than I ever pay in premiums, and you can’t do that without claims. :)

I bet there’s a really good middle ground where the price is the price, ordering is done using advanced tech, but you have a concierge who really does provide high touch support through the entire process, from ordering to finance to delivery to service. I prefer dealing with good honest people...
