Want to purchase concerned about viability

I had these same concerns when I bought the first of our Teslas 9 years ago. As others have said, Lucid’s IP is very valuable and, worse case, someone would buy up the company just for that. Someone who is far behind in EV‘s - like Honda, for example.

The good, bad and the ugly

Have others experienced this? If this is really EA‘s policy and way of thinking no wonder they are so screwed up. They should start charging immediately and figure out the billing stuff while you are charging. If something is amiss then cut off the charging. It is like they want to make charging...

Thanks for this detailed review and comparison.

Wisconsin owners will be getting EV stickers for their license plates.

California has been doing this for the last few years. I think this is reasonable to offset not paying the gasoline tax.

NEMA vs Lucid Charging Station vs Tesla Wall Connector

Does the Lucid home charger have a button on it that tells the Lucid to open the chargeport door? I have gotten so used to that with the Teslas. Very convenient.

    Taking a look at Lucid

Great info, thanks. I used the same trick with our first Model S. But my Faraday pouch was an old cookie tin. If you left the key fob visible to the car they would constantly ping each other and drain the fob battery in a few days.

Thanks if it goes into “deep sleep” it will retract the door handles? If I move the fob/phone into the house (out of range of the car) it will lock?

    Taking a look at Lucid

So if the car is unlocked the handles are extended? One of the things that annoyed me about the Model S was the door handles. They used to break all the time and I hated having to unlock the car to get into it while in the garage. After a couple years Tesla added the ability to keep the car...

That would be a great test drive. The closest studio is 50 miles away. But I will ask. Thanks

Awesome - thanks! That is one thing I already like more about Lucid - they actually have information. I saw the list of 2023 vs 2024 changes they published on their website. Tesla has never done that.

    Taking a look at Lucid

I am seriouslly considering buying an Air and came across this thread. It has been super helpful. Thanks for all of the thoughtful comments and replies. One concern I have that I have not found an answer to the approach and departure angles on the Air. One of the nicest features of our ancient...
