I had these same concerns when I bought the first of our Teslas 9 years ago. As others have said, Lucid’s IP is very valuable and, worse case, someone would buy up the company just for that. Someone who is far behind in EV‘s - like Honda, for example.

Have others experienced this? If this is really EA‘s policy and way of thinking no wonder they are so screwed up. Great info, thanks. I used the same trick with our first Model S. But my Faraday pouch was an old cookie tin. If you left the key fob visible to the car they would constantly ping each other and drain the fob battery in a few days.

Thanks if it goes into “deep sleep” it will retract the door handles? If I move the fob/phone into the house (out of range of the car) it will lock?
