SOLD Dream Edition Performance #40 Live on BaT

It’s such a cool little car. I love it. Really disappointed the that the chose the Corolla here vs. the Yaris.

SOLD Dream Edition Performance #40 Live on BaT

Thanks - nope. I really didn't think my bid would hold but if it did I would have been ecstatic! It's just a bit large for what I really want. I'm leaning towards one more epic ICE car before going all electric. 911T is first on the list. Might be the last MT 911 other than the GT3 / S/T...

Interview with Peter at Bloomberg Summit

As a shareholder I love the licensing strategy. The concerns about diluting resources away from Lucid specific software developments seem legit. As to why anyone in their right mind would trust FSD (what a joke of a misnomer) is beyond me. I hope that guy gets rounded up and deported.

First pre-production Gravity reviews are coming in

    In for a penny…

Oh yeah - I'm not a flipper. Still bullish long term on Lucid. As a geek I love the tech and believe that there's a lot of value in the Lucid tech that transcends the Air / Gravity sales. I just wish they'd get to work on forging those partnerships and creating revenue streams beyond just...

    In for a penny…

This was nice news to wake up to. :) https://www.fool.com/investing/2024/12/09/why-lucids-stock-is-defying-gravity-again/?source=eptyholnk0000202&utm_source=yahoo-host-full&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=article&referring_guid=8d65fab2-0e5c-4554-9de8-3a8ec9698b8f Per The Motley Fool: Shares...

    Musk in the White House

I wouldn't be all that happy if I were one of the folks counting on a $39K Cybertruck. :) I wouldn't be all that happy if I had put down a $250K deposit on a Vaporware Roadster that is supposed to be sub 1 second to 60 and in my driveway by 2024. If you paid the $8K or so for what is...

    In for a penny…

I have half a mind to contact them and offer my services as Stategic Alliance Manager. Had a similar role at my last company and it was a fun gig. Got to forge partnerships with my friends at companies with complementary technologies/therapies. I have mixed feeling about that $2 price :D but...

Yep. Will be drawing down 401k soon so a few losses won’t be so painful.

    In for a penny…

My little portfolio is a sea of red today so I figured “why not”? Still a believer in the technology and a Rawlinson fanboi and I’ve spent money in worse ways. :D If Gravity gains traction and gives off a halo for the lower cost model - there’s a chance it might work out. I hope Lucid is...

    The terror capability of EVs.

@Cosmo Cruz - “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you!” :D https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/android-malware-necro-infects-11-million-devices-via-google-play/ One reason I stick with Apple. Better control of this sort of problem. It is legitimately...

    The terror capability of EVs.

I’m sure everyone should agree that confirmation bias is a real thing. :) Like the OP - I am leery of how vulnerable we may be to cyberattack. Salt Typhoon - Chinese Hacking from WSJ. This should be a paywall free link...

    The terror capability of EVs.

Kind is scary to read how aggressively China is hacking our internet infrastructure. Re intelligence or lack therof - we have some aggressively stupid people we share the country with and some of them are proud that facts have no effect on their beliefs. “They’re eating the cats!!!” And...

Getting Started with Track Driving for a Novice / 20 vs 21 inch wheels

My pleasure. I've had a good amount of seat time in the area and it's a great spot for motorsports. If you really get into it I'd probably suggest a dedicated track car. For a track car - weight is really the enemy. Tough on brakes and really tough on tires.

Getting Started with Track Driving for a Novice / 20 vs 21 inch wheels

I can't speak with absolute certainty re: Lucid but tires are probably going to be a factor if you do a lot of track days with a Lucid. For that reason alone I'd probably go with 19" vs. 20/21s. :) Wheel/tire diameter is not really the ultimate determinant of grip. It's really the tread...
