Thanks @liggy - you are right, that is not my lease return. Mine was for 3x <.1" marks on the (very) large windshield, and a mystery problem with the passenger sun visor.
Still nothing back from Lucid. I suppose I will call back again in a week. Seeing that emailing the CEO just gets more...
I have full glass coverage with Safelite through USAA. I was not given the opportunity to have the tiny pock marks addressed. It was not an issue when I turned in the car.
Very long hold times today. I signed up for a call back on my second attempt.
I explained to the Customer Care person this time around that I am disputing the Excess Wear and Tear charges, and I would like someone in management to review the 3rd party inspection report, and confirm that...
I never heard back from Lucid. Yesterday I got another "collections" letter from them on the excessive wear & tear charges, so I called back today. I'm on a second long hold, after being disconnected on my first attempt. The first person I spoke with told me that my ticket is still open, but...
Never got the call back that I was told I would get. I think that was a week or more ago now.
This morning was only 17 minutes on hold to get the collections agency back on the phone....
They told me to call this number: (888) 995-8243, Option #1. This is Lucid customer care. What a...
Ya, this is not my first rodeo with electric cars. My advice to everyone is to only ever lease them. And knowing (now) that this is how Lucid handles in the lease turn in - I cannot recommend that anyone lease one either. Let's see if corporate ever gets back with me.
EDIT: also, to be clear...
From the other posts I am finding online, my experience does not seem unique. I am beginning to suspect this kind of lease turn in experience is corporate policy. I'll give them until next week to call me - then I will call back and complain again to the collections agency that handles this...
CarMax is a good idea. I'd love to see what they would offer on a Lucid.
In my case the residual was $107k on a $140k car. IME electric cars lose value as fast as the worst ICE cars (or faster), and I haven't done any shopping, but I suspect there is no way the car I turned in is worth $100k.
Thanks @borski - that does seem to state that any pit or chip in the windshield will cost you $1,450 + tax. Even if they are .1" in size.
Here's another experience I stumbled on with curb rash - otherwise the same experience I've had. I think it's fair to say that anyone leasing a Lucid and...
I still have no idea what is wrong with the passenger visor - the images don't show anything that I can see. On the glass I guess it's a question as to what "glass that is damaged" means exactly.
I am 50/50 on anyone even calling me back at this point... and they can't send me to collections...
One other annoyance - the letter says you can get your inspection report online, but it doesn't work. The website does not accept the VIN + Phone or Lease Acct No. It also prompts for an Inspection Report number - which is not provided. The gentleman from the collections agency that finally...
No call back after 48 hours now.
Also a bit off putting, the letter they send you says you can pay online or by phone. You cannot pay online, as the lease account has been removed when I login. I had to call the number three times, on hold each time for 10-30 minutes until finally someone...
No doubt. Those considering a lease, and those preparing for a lease return.... beware! I'll give them the chance to make it right when they call me to explain. I may also include a link to this thread. The outcome will be public. Fingers crossed we are just dealing with an overzealous...
The final bill is actually higher, because they charge sales tax on these fees, so another $209.30 in tax, bringing us over $2k of excessive wear and tear in those photos. , Here's a screenshot of the claimed excessive wear with the fees before tax
They typically do wipe out any lease end fees if they can get you into another lease. I've leased 6 BMW's and 3 Range Rovers, turned them all in with more wear than this and never had anything flagged. Not all of those ended with a new lease from the same brand. Also leased VW's and other...
Hi all. I was a happy lessee of a 2023 Lucid Air Grand Touring. Great car. I just turned it in last week, after a short 18 month lease. Today I received my lease end bill. Curious what the crowd here thinks of these Lease Turn in fees... I've leased many luxury cars, and this is the first...
LOL... all the comments. I also opted to get the bears on my car during delivery. Love 'em. My son commented, if it was Porsche, it would have been $400 for each bear + installation, $1300 out the door.
I took delivery of my AGT on Wednesday. In the About menu option it says I'm on the latest and that is .42. Should I just give it a few more days, or is the something I can do to make the car check again for updates?
Took delivery last week. Still dialing in the settings to my liking. Also thinking perhaps I should have taken the 36 month term - this is a very easy car to live with so far.
Just barely fits in my tiny garage with room to get in and out.
