    Lucid in Apple Wallet?

I'll bite and grumble that mechanical keys worked 99.99% of the time. I'm a little (though only a little) grouchy that there's no external manual override at all for the any of the openings on the Lucid. Even the Hyundai Ioniqs have a flush handles with a manual override. - T

    Update 2.6.16

Drive Assist was quite clearly about to drift out of lane really fast so I took over, slowed the car, and brought it around… - T

    Update 2.6.16

Lane assist definitely better on "full speed" ramps that transition from one freeway to another. I did make the mistake of testing it on a reduced-speed merge ramp without thinking about it... and I will testify that the tires worked really well despite a bit of screaming from them. - T

Supercharging. Explain it to me like I'm five years old

Great, thank you, much appreciated. For my next trick, I’m going to drive over to an entirely unoccupied EA charger in the dead of night after 20 minutes of preconditioning to see if I can hit the 350 kW mark… - T

Supercharging. Explain it to me like I'm five years old

While I’m here… can someone explain to be like I’m five why the max charge rate is 250 kW even from EA 350 kW. I have never seen rates beyond 250 kW regardless of current battery charge, time of preconditioning, outside temperature, or number of occupied adjacent stalls. - T

Supercharging. Explain it to me like I'm five years old

Can confirm. There are none along either the I-5 or US-101 corridors between the SF Bay Area and LA. - T

    Floor mats!

I'll second this. I used a standard bathtub brush with dish soap and the Lucid mats were still less graphite-like than when first purchased. - T

    Rear-ended by a 100MPH drunk driver

First off, glad to hear everyone largely walked out of the accident. I'm late to the discussion here, but my concern for the vehicle post-collision would be damage to the battery "skateboard". That's a lot of flammable material to put out of alignment. - T

    Battery powered vanity mirrors

True, but an alternate design would have integrated the pivoting hinge into the A-pillar. Something definitely seems off with circuitry though. I hardly ever use the vanity mirror and LEDs draw very little power, so I’m stumped as to why they’ve chewed through so many batteries. Ted 2022 AGT

    Battery powered vanity mirrors

Am I the only person that finds the battery-powered visor vanity mirrors a bit janky? I’m replacing the L and R sets of batteries for the third time in two years despite hardly using the mirror lights. I see from other threads that the visors are essentially permanent (removing the puck would...

    UX 2.5 OTA Update

Bummer. I understand the technical reasons but low lights feels like exactly the time one would need the warning. - T

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

So this is wild. Two days ago my AGT reported that I'd received an update to move from 2.4.2 to 2.4.4, but post-install the car reports that it is on 2.4.3... Not clear exactly what's really different between the two point releases. - T

    Tire bubble

Well, how about that. The driver front tire has a bubble after three months. Upside: I have the warranty from the replacement I did three months ago. But after that it's time to replace the 21" rims with 19". In other news... are we able to use other 19" tires if/when the OEM Pirellis bite it...

Opening door from the outside without power

So… in the event that the power fails, how does one open the doors from the outside? I don’t see how this is possible unless there’s a physical way to bypass the electronic lock, which seems insecure. https://www.azfamily.com/2024/06/20/toddler-trapped-car-when-tesla-battery-dies-scottsdale/ - T

    CarPlay working well with 2.2.2

For sure my phone connects to CarPlay more reliably after 2.2.2. I still have the workaround set up to force CarPlay as the audio source over Bluetooth, though; maybe I’ll pause the Automation and see if 2.2.2 always picks the correct audio source. Now if we could just get rid of the...
