New scheduled charging feature -- how is it supposed to work?

Thanks to the forum members - I was able to get the car to charge by removing the schedule entirely. Separate from whether this should be an issue, at least I can actually drive the car without waking up at midnight to wake the car :P

New scheduled charging feature -- how is it supposed to work?

Right - which is why I set the timer to not start simultaneously, but rather to be “alive” when the lucid charging kicks in. Regardless, I’ll try it fully off and just have to shut it off tomorrow morning until they fix this ridiculous 12 hour block … if it even works.

New scheduled charging feature -- how is it supposed to work?

Hmm, nonetheless, I’ll turn off the schedule charging entirely and see if that changes it this evening.

New scheduled charging feature -- how is it supposed to work?

That’s why I have the schedule set to start before the Lucid starts - the issue is I need an end time as well as that circuit has a number of other items on it that I want to protect for load reasons (even though it should work, I just want extra safety). If the schedule start on the Wallbox is...

New scheduled charging feature -- how is it supposed to work?

I am also completely infuriated about the home charging situation. I have a Wallbox, and it’s scheduled to go on at 11:55pm since apparently if scheduled charging starts at the same time it has problems (???? My Tesla doesn’t). However, it still doesn’t work - unless I set an alarm to wake up at...

    Insurance Megathread

That's odd. Also CA, clean record, State Farm is under $700/6 months. Have home and 3 other cars insured with them, but still, talk to the agent and try to figure out what's going on.

    Problem after updating to 2.0.35

This happened to me on a previous update. It was when the update failed, and the software was in a mix of two versions. None of the resets cleared it, but when they pushed the software version again it installed properly and the errors cleared. Took a few days of back and forth with service. It...

    Charging Timer

I have a Wallbox, and am on .35. Now getting the charging error and have to manually unplug and replug. It really feels like they have a “happy path” regression testing system that is not diverse at all to testing real life systems, and if true, we will continue to take steps back with every...

2.0.15 - The MOAU - Mother Of All Updates

Interesting. Yeah, they’re certainly making it seem like it’s not as simple as just re-sending the old version. They asked me to do the hard reset with the valet key to clear the warnings but it didn’t help.

    Range Performance SF to LA

I found Harris Ranch to be the best of the options, and with the Lucid range that’s enough to get you between SF and LA. The Walmart at Castaic was fine too.

2.0.15 - The MOAU - Mother Of All Updates

I’ve asked them to do that but they said they’ve spoken to their software team and there was an issue with sending the update again. That was last night.

2.0.15 - The MOAU - Mother Of All Updates

Well, I installed .15 yesterday and it broke my car. Got 90% through installation then it said failed - now my car has thrown up all sorts of warnings (drive system warning, call customer service), the cameras don’t work, automatic braking is turned off, and more. It says I’m on .14 but the UI...

    Range Performance SF to LA

The problem with variability of chargers is that it’s variable. While driving a family, it’s really hard to say “this trip will take 6 hours … but may take 8 hours if the chargers are full or aren’t working.” With my Teslas, I’ve never been worried about the drive to Tahoe or LA. Luckily our...

    Range Performance SF to LA

I did the SF to LA drive and vice versa last weekend. I knew the "indicated" range would be far less than it said - disappointingly, however, I seemed to only get 2.7-2.9 Mi/kW. Yes, I was driving relatively fast and I'm not faulting Lucid for how they report range - I found my Model S and...

    Charger FAQ/Explanation

I more make peace with I have a hybrid on order that is going to require being always plugged in, and I like that the Wallbox Pulsar allows you to add multiple ones and share charge on one circuit.

    SW 2.0

For those eagerly wishing for a beta program, be careful what you wish for. I think the existence of one is a fantastic idea and heartily support it - I also wouldn’t want to be in it. Having been in the Model X beta system (before successfully asking to be removed), having different bugs /...

    Charger FAQ/Explanation

It sounds like a smart EVSE solves this particular problem, so I’ll go that route. Thanks for the feedback. Annoyed that I have to essentially pay $700 to get something whose entire benefits will go away when an OTA adds this functionality in a few months, but there don’t seem to be any better...

    Charger FAQ/Explanation

I just received my car last week and am completely stupefied that it does not contain the ability to set the maximum charge current. I have had two Teslas for the last 7 years and if I had known this basic feature was missing I would not have purchased the car. I have a 50A sub-panel but due to...
