    New CarPlay

My whole point and I think others may agree with me on this forum is that when you advertise anything as a feature with the car, and people have paid for it and patiently waited to receive the services for almost over a year and still not received them, you will have upset customers. A good...

    New CarPlay

I think most of us have been hearing the “any day” thing now for a few months. And I am starting to wonder if that’s direction from corporate to all their employees that if someone ask you about car play, just give them a standard reply. Just seems buzzare that the car has been out for...

    New CarPlay

I know this article is almost 8 months old, but I certainly hope that due the curved nature of Lucid's screen, we are not losing out on screen real estate for Apple Car Play: https://insideevs.com/news/597966/lucid-air-apple-car-play-spotted/ This would look terrible and no Car Play would be...

What is passive entry? Is that when the seat moves back for easy entry/exit?

    2.0.52

Do we think this is big big update that the rumor has been circulating about or is this still considered a minor update based on the designation of the version numbers? (.52) Thoughts?

    Vampire drain

Thank you all for your valid inputs and suggestions. I will try this method and report back.

    Vampire drain

I do have a mobile key, but only woke up the car once during my testing, I can't imagine I would lose 15 miles by one wake-up. But the only caveat here is that it's quite cold in Colorado and I will have better metrics in the summer. My phone sits right above my garage, but that's not waking...

    Vampire drain

It's not a matter of driving down to 2% or 0%, it's more about getting a second opinion from other Owners to see if there is a defect or a battery leak in the car that's causing the drain. Or better yet a fault in the car that short circuiting and consuming energy. After owning couple...

    Vampire drain

I find the phantom/vampire drain on the Lucid extremely high. Doesn't make any sense why the car would lose double digit range in 24-36H. My car sits in a garage, it's not ventilated, but insulated and I live in CO. But I am losing about 15 miles in 36H with ambient temperate of the garage at...

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

Lucid slightly got better, because initially test drives were not offered to anyone unless you had reserved one of the higher trims (DE or AGT). I am not kidding, but in mid 2022, I asked to test drive a Lucid and they told me that since you did not reserve a Dream Edition or Grand Touring you...

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

There's very slight road noise but not nearly as bad as Tesla. I am also driving on summer tires so it's a low profile tire. I do have an iX, and the iX is super quiet. It's so quiet its scary. I wonder how lucid will sound with all seasons.

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

Slightly better in other modes but still a bit stiff. And it does compromise the range also unfortunately. Probably will just take some time to get used to.

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

Definitely test drove the car, but they only let you test drive for 15 mins and its very hard to gauge everything about the car in the limited allotted time. And 15 minutes is not nearly enough, especially when they spend 5 minutes just talking about the infotainment system out of your 15...

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

I would think on software oriented cars like this anything should be tunable or programmable. It's not really a mechanical hurdle that we are trying overcome like in ICE cars. I would think the programming would be quite simple - If throttle response <= 15%, then motor power = X, If throttle...

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

I don't think it even has to do with ICE car or EV car. Other EVs like BMW iX and Teslas all have a much softer throttle response. You touch the pedal and it takes off instead of having to press the pedal at least 15-20% before you notice the car is starting to move along. Also, not sure I...

    Accelerator Pedal stiffness

Do you guys feel that the accelerator pedal is quite stiff compared to other cars? I have driven plenty of different cars, but it feels like you really have to step on it to barely get the vehicle moving. It's almost for the heavy footers. Would it be possible to get Lucid to program the...

I Thought This Is A Lucid "Owners" Forum??

I am in an agreement with this as well. I get it, it's the internet and people can troll as much as they like. But it seems to defeat the purpose of this forum. Especially having multiple threads on Lucid vs. Tesla. First of all Lucid was never designed as a direct competitor to Model S, it was...

Torn between Model S Plaid and Lucid Touring.

Not sure if Motor Trend got the right torque numbers for the Touring. Seems like a typo. 885 lbs torque seems to be same torque as the GT with 819 HP. Not sure if anyone else caught that or verified that?
  19. L

    How heavy?

Although 885 lbs of torque seems unreal. But again I have not seen the specs from Lucid on the Touring to know the torque numbers. 885 lbs torque is very impressive for this trim.

    How heavy?

I guess my logical reasoning behind 0-60 times was pretty much on point: https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2023-lucid-air-touring-first-test-review/
