Note quite as efficient on return trip today (~3.2 mi/kWh), but I wasn't as focused on efficiency as traffic was moving faster. Still arrived home with 200-ish miles of range left. Hotel charged car for me overnight in Dallas so was fully charged for return trip using the tesla destination...

Just did the drive from Austin to Dallas (~200 miles) at an average speed on I-35 at ~78mph with some massaging towards the end. Got 3.7 mi/kWh. After charging my GT to 100% (showing 505 miles of range), arrived with ~243 miles of range left, having used 54kWh on the way. Great efficiency...

You are correct. The engine requires DEF fluid to reduce emissions. They sell it everywhere now. When DEF tank Is too low, the car limits speed and will eventually stop running. Indicator on the dash just like oil life…

Makes total sense. Not sure my wife is ready to go full electric at this point. Also, her new diesel Suburban is a really efficient machine for being that big (26-28mpg). Super Cruise is super nice on long haul drives too. Waiting for that hands-free feature on our Lucids!

So, the question is, did they understate the correct tax initially. Believe it should have been 6.25% of gross price.

So they added an additional amount on top of that now? If you've already paid the tax at lease signing, I'm not sure why there would be an additional amount, unless the initial amount was incorrect...

Fair point, I'd point out with Model X Plaid and quad motor R1S, while the 0-60 is faster, the range drops off. For Model X the range decreases by 15-40 miles depending on tire selection. Quad pack R1S doesn't have the max pack option (at least not yet), so range drops from 400 down to 321.

Same here. Don't regret it at all. Just like selling securities, once it's done, you can't think about it anymore.

Totally agree on the misuse of space in Mercedes' EVs. Was just comparing to the GLS, which we previously owned and really liked. Based on the videos at the LA auto show, the interior looks meaningfully bigger than the GLS, which makes sense given the 112 cubic feet of cargo space in Gravity...

I had same thought at first. While Gravity is like 7 inches shorter than the GLS, the space created by not having the big engine in front probably makes interior the same size, if not larger.
