I'm really hoping one of the midsized models will have air suspension as an option. My ideal car will be that sized, and normally rides low with the option to increase it to around 7" if driving in uncleared snow

That’s nationwide I thought. The California one is also expiring - it has to be renewed by Congress which seems unlikely. Are the HOV plates in AZ permanent? In CA you get a color coded decal that has an expiration period, and I think after September they all became invalid anyway

I’m a shareholder, and once the midsize sedan ships I might sell my EV6 ahead of schedule and buy it! (Or the upcoming BMW i3 but I suspect Lucid will win in interior space)

Late to the thread, glad you’re both still OK and insurance seems to be on the ball too! It’s probably hard to get in touch with the other driver if he ended up in jail, I suppose … either way I pray he learned his lesson and his life is not ruined over this

As an alternative to normal doors (might be hard to open esp with a wide vehicle) and gullwing doors (not so great if you're in inclement weather), maybe Lucid can consider using scissor doors next ;)

This part is honestly one of the potential issue for me when I'm done with my EV6. Not a deal breaker but given my state (IL) has sales tax exemption for trade ins it could be worth at least $1k (so Lucid is effectively at a disadvantage price wise). Not that big a deal for an Air purchase, but...

Worst case you can probably get a short lease on the EV9 to tide you over - Kia is offering some huge incentives now. I paid a premium for my EV6 and now it has 17k worth of incentives thrown in 🙃

Thanks for the review! Most of the Ioniq points resonate with me as an EV6 owner - I also find my city driving efficiency to be really high, but on highways Lucid and BMW pull ahead. One clarification for drive mode and Regen - they do stick in Ioniq and EV6, except for the modes considered...

Cornering would probably not be that much fun though. Especially if Lucid is not involved in tuning the car for the extra weight!

Given test drives are generally not too long, maybe Lucid should make sure the cars are not charged too full? Conversely car rental companies sometimes fail to ensure rental EVs are charged adequately Rivian does something interesting here: You can choose to have friction braking seamlessly...

We might have discussed this in the Genesis forum too, but I concur. On my EV6 which doesn't have automatic settings I lower my seating position to almost the lowest. Can't go too low since I'm only 5'4", and that's why I know my next car has to be a sedan. It still feels too high for me given...

Well, we still don't know what the third mid-sized vehicle is right? I'm more betting on an off-road capable vehicle (so slightly larger, not as tall compared to R3X, maybe comparable to Subaru WRX) but it could be a sport coupe... we just know it's not a wagon

True. OTOH I like HMG's overly cautious approach here better than GM, where it does lock automatically but in some situations it would fail to detect the fob completely and I have to fish out the manual key 🫣 In such a situation where the fob failed to be detected (due to RF interference?)...
