Lucid Air aftermarket Hifi upgrade summary (and quality / configuration of the factory audio)

Great to see progress on your system. Agreed that they have done a hell of a job with the stock system - it does a great job of maintaining a clean soundstage despite all the glass.

    Subwoofer Bass solution

Interesting setup. Why not disconnect the rear sub entirely and take the output from each voice coil? You’re running that JBL in parallel this way. I’m curious how this ends up sounding.

Lucid Air Stereo "Surreal Sound" Test Impressions

I have had many cars and home systems as well. I agree the Lucid lacks deep bass. I strongly disagree about the Tesla stereo being superior or the highs lacking, but you do you. I suggest you drop this subject and move on. You're alienating many people on this thread by hijacking it for...

Lucid Air Stereo "Surreal Sound" Test Impressions

I’m about to go on a drive and I am so listening to some Talking Heads on the way. Great suggestion!

Lucid Air Stereo "Surreal Sound" Test Impressions

I’m glad the review helped. I should note that I never posted a follow-up to that original session and the stereo has changed since then - very much for the better.

    Current Owners - Daily Driver?

I've put over 12k on my car at this point and drive it daily, along multiple with long distance (>1k mi) road trips. It is by far the best and I cannot imagine driving anything else. To address a lot of my anxiety around damage, I did a full PPF and I'm very glad I did so. I still worry a bit...

Official: Gravity Debuts on Nov. 15

Welp, it ticked all these boxes and then some. I'm highly impressed with the new design.

Official: Gravity Debuts on Nov. 15

Tempering expectations: I believe it'll have a slightly refreshed design to seem less ungainly and more sleek I do not expect some quantum leap in tech as it'll likely use the same platform/underpinnings as the Air I'm hopeful for a revised profile with sloped rear instead of the square end I...

Lucid Air Stereo "Surreal Sound" Test Impressions

That's quite interesting. I never tried that. Will have to test it out. Frankly, if I could just plug my computer and REW in to tune the DSP I would, but no way in hell is Lucid letting me do that...so I'd settle for 5-9 band EQ.

[RESOLVED] Does your front footwell woofer work properly?

I am in love with the AMT designs at the moment when paired with BMRs (Balanced Mode Radiators). You can do some crazy shit where you have virtually identical off-axis and on-axis responses all the way out to 80 degrees with this combo. The BMRs are especially good at having really well...

[RESOLVED] Does your front footwell woofer work properly?

Weighing in here with some info. This thread was TL;DR so I may be repeating what others have noted before. There are two subs in the front. They utilize cavities in the body of the car as their enclosure and have a small diameter / high-Xmax sub (unsure of the size or specs). Their duties are...

    SF Bay Area Owners: read!

Awesome! Hope you're enjoying the car. I just crossed 11,500 miles this morning. Still loving it every day :) You made a damn good color choice too...

I believe they've made a number of changes to the design, possible some significant ones. I wasn't sold on the back either until I messed around in photoshop and rendered it with stealth parts - looked much better that way.

Guessing prices... Pure: $110k Touring: $135k Grand Touring: $150k Grand Touring Performance: $180k Dream Edition (launch): $210k I'm guessing the Pure and Touring will cost more simply because of the larger car, bigger battery pack and (probably) standard dual motors. I think the price...

Official: Gravity Debuts on Nov. 15

I've already reserved two Polestar 3's (one performance pack and one regular), a Fisker Ocean, and an EX90, so what's one more? In all seriousness I do expect this to be my other car besides the Air. Excited to finally see it launch.

Does the Lucid Grand Touring Satisfy your Sport Car Desires

I had the AMG E63 wagon on order prior to my GT and had been excited to finally get a shouty, barnstorming German V8. I didn't expect to like the motor noise from the Air as much as I do, and I find I'm no longer pining for the snorts/pops/crackles of a tuned gas engine. YMMV of course, and...

Does the Lucid Grand Touring Satisfy your Sport Car Desires

"Does your AGT satisfy your sporty driving needs?" Yes. After over 6,000 miles it is still a joy to drive every day. I'm always excited to get into it and still look forward to each drive. The only fly in the ointment is the 19" wheels are super smooth...but they do lack for grip compared to the...
