    End of Lease Experience

They are offering 18 month leases, but they are about $300 more per month that a 36 month lease. I may consider that as an option.

    End of Lease Experience

I'll be oficially turning in my lease next month. Lucid didn't budge on letting me buy my Air Touring for less than the lease residual (about $92k). They offered to extend my current lease for 5 months at the current lease rate (roughly $1300 a month), but I could lease a new Touring for much...

First pre-production Gravity reviews are coming in

The funny thing is the general public doesn't care or even notice any of these vehicles. No one notices if you are driving a Mercedes GLS or a Toyota Sienna. Most who buy "true SUVs" never take them off-road. I see more minivans when camping than Land Cruisers or Defenders. I love the look of...

It looks like a lifted wagon. :)

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

Honestly if you compare current lease rates between a similarly spec'ed Air Grand Touring versus a Touring, you are look at about $100-$150 a month difference. If the Gravity has similar lease rates to the current Air, then I would probably pay the extra $150 a month and get the Grand Touring.

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

If leasing is very attractive on the Grand Touring, then I would consider trading up. Otherwise I agree, a much more limited customer base at $100k+. Lucid did imply a slow ramp in 2025, so maybe they are only planning a couple thousand Grand Tourings next year with higher volumes to really...

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

Our Air Touring lease is up in April. So we will have a 8-12 month gap which could make it tricky to wait for a Touring. I can probably make it will out an extra vehicle, but not ideal.

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

Yeah I just saw the Touring won't launch until late 2025. That is a big bummer. Looks like I'll be waiting another 12 months.

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

$79k for the Touring is going to be a huge. That makes it very competitive against the Rivian R1S, Mercedes EQS/EQE, Audi Q8 E-tron, Model X, BMW iX, Volvo EX90, and Polestar 3. We have an Air Touring and a Rivian R1S. The Gravity Touring will be much more premium and better driving than the...

    Lucid air vs my m5

I don't disagree. I love my Air Touring, but I also just order a BMW M2 with a 6-speed manual. I've been all EV for 4 years now, but I really miss an ICE sports car. When our Touring lease is up in April, I will likely lease the Gravity as I still love Lucid's products, and believe they are the...

    End of Lease Experience

With the Nissan Leaf, I actually received a letter from Nissan Financial prior to turning in my Leaf with the offer. For my Audi and VW I contacted the dealership several weeks before turning in my lease and asked if there was any room to negotiate the buyout. I basically told them I was going...

    End of Lease Experience

The best deal I got was leasing a 2013 Nissan Leaf. The residual was around $18k and Nissan offered to let me buy it at the end of the lease for $8500. I've also had leases with Audi and VW where I negotiated at the end of the lease for a better buy out. Not all will do it clearly, but with...

    End of Lease Experience

It seems like they could make more money by offering a reasonable buyout, and it could be an easier process. Let's say my touring is worth $55k at auction. If they offered $60k-$65k I would seriously consider buying it at the end of lease. At the moment my buyout is closer to $85k.

    End of Lease Experience

I've had leases in the past where I was offered an end of lease buyout lower than the original buyout price. It makes sense for them to offer something reasonable to the current lease owner. If not, clearly I won't be buying the car as I could purchase a new Touring for less money.

    End of Lease Experience

I have about 6 months remaining on my Air Touring lease. I'll potentially be leasing/buying a Gravity, however without all of the Gravity details out yet, I'm considering keeping my Air Touring instead. I absolutely love this car and it will be really hard to let it go. I'm curious if Lucid...

VW investing up to 5 billion in Rivian.. per NY Times

We have a R1S and a Lucid Air Touring. The Rivian definitely has the better UI and software, but the Rivian doesn't come close to the build quality, driving dynamics, and comfort of the Lucid. The rattles, suspension noise, and general harshness of the Rivian is not great for its price point. I...

    New Lucid

A lot of the increased handling from the Taycan comes from wider tires. Otherwise on the street under normal driving, there is no real difference. Even spirited driving on the back roads is barely different between the two. The track may be a different story. I don't understand the comparison...

    New Lucid

I had a 2020 Taycan Turbo S before moving to our Touring. Overall the Taycan was fine and I was pretty happy except for the purchase price. If does have a little bit sharper handling, and a sportier look. Otherwise the Lucid is better in almost every aspect. Spec for spec, the Lucid comes in...

Off-Topic CyberTruck Innovations - Hagerty high quality review

I just don't understand the appeal. It looks terrible, and I thought the whole reason for the ugly looks was the new manufacturing process was going to significantly reduce costs. It's now just an expensive trophy truck. If I wanted a flashy truck for $100k+, I'd probably buy the Hummer EV. It...

Off-Topic CyberTruck Innovations - Hagerty high quality review

Correct. Our EQS SUV has 10 degree of rear steering. It's so nice for parking and pulling a U-turn. It is a bit disorienting at first and does take some getting used to. It might be a bit much with the 180 degree of steering wheel lock. With current 360 degree lock in our EQS I've almost turned...
