    Robotaxis prediction

Let's not forget that Tesla has something nobody else has...millions of beta test units on the street all the time.

    Homelink Triggering On Its Own

I commented in a similar thread how I wouldn't want to have Homelink automatically open / close gates and garage doors on approach due to us having a couple big dogs. Here's how that opinion was formed. We had a powered gate installed across our driveway. Ironically, the owner of the fence...

    Dash cam

I installed an older Thinkware F750 dual channel in my Air. Full disclosure, I hit a road bump in the installation an went to a local car audio place that I've worked with before and let them finish the install. The dash cam came out of a totaled Volt my wife used to drive. Since she replaced it...

    I'm Official!

@chazglenn3, driving on summer tires below the recommended temperature can very quickly turn into a butt-clenching adventure. Not too proud to say I've done it in a different car, but quite by accident. My Camaro came with Goodyear summer performance tires that recommended not driving in temps...

Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

Probably availability of qualified techs in the area. If the service center is swamped they probably don't want to burn tech hours on "driving to..." when they can be elbows deep into replacing drive units or other such activities.

    Smashed rear windscreen

I'm guessing it may have been a really stale communion wafer.

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

When I decided to go down the used EV route I factored in the knowledge that luxury sedans take a hard depreciation hit after 3 years. And the knowledge that EVs take a hard depreciation hit after 2 years. So combining those two things might work out in my favor. I was turning in a 2024 Equinox...

    Smashed rear windscreen

I feel your pain. My car has been at a collision shop for a few days now waiting for the rear glass roof panel to be replaced. Whyizzat? Self inflicted wound. Had a couple bikes on the roof carriers and hit a monstrous dip in the road at highway speeds. One of the bikes bounced enough that the...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

The depreciation hit has already been taken. Bought my car in January for about $55k. Could probably sell it next week for $55k.

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

There is no one perfect car for everyone (unless you're a Tesla FSD fanatic 🤣 ). That's why in my original response I suggested the 3rd option...something other than Lucid. My larger point was, based on how they constructed the hardware, probably in 2018 or r earlier for a 2021 launch, Air was...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

True, but they can see other obstacles in the lane as well as construction shifts (barrels and barricades). My AGT usually enters construction zones with hands-free disabled. Then within 3 - 5 seconds it enables hands-free. I could be wrong, but I expect that this is due to radar picking up on...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

That is actually not true. Some? Yes. A lot? Yes. All? Nope. How the automakers achieve Lane Centering differs from brand to brand and so does how they charge for it. Some use cameras only. Some use cameras and radar. Some (Lucid) use cameras, radar, and lidar. Each of these approaches requires...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

@tidmutt, if Lane Centering is your gotta have it appears that you have three options If you get an Air it needs to have DreamDrive Pro If you get a Gravity it needs to have DreamDrive Premium or DreamDrive Pro Something other than a Lucid. Different automakers take different approaches to...

New owner of (used) Air Touring 2024

I feel your pain. I keep my Camaro in my neighbor's garage under a car cover. Not because it is a garage queen collectible. Because there is a feral cat that also calls that garage home and loves walking across the car when its paws are super muddy.
