    Pilot Panel Smudges/Scratches

Easy to smudge but very easy to clean. Being anal I’m always cleaning touch screens in my cars. Terrible thing being anal. ;)

    Mobile key on Apple Watch?

IMO there’s nothing more reliable than the fob. Fob for life! Long live the fob! :)

    Air 2~5 months Waiting Game

The Honda Clarity was a great car, hugely underrated largely, IMO, because of its looks. We had one and the car was really well made. Unfortunately it met its demise in an accident.

    Lucid Air or BMW i5

A friend just bought an i5 several days ago. Knowing I've owned EVs for years, he asked if he could come over for a lesson in chargers & charging since he was in the market for a L2 charger. I had not yet seen an i5 in the wild, so it was an interesting experience. I thought the car looked...

    Lucid Air or BMW i5

There is certainly nothing ‘wrong’ with shared platforms, it’s a design choice. As with most design choices there are pros & cons. One of the pros is a proven platform & design. One of the cons is interior space that isn’t as large as it could have been. Nothing ‘wrong’ there, simply a choice...

    good news and appologies !

When SNL was still funny. Although I’m not discounting the issues some are having, sometimes this forum looks like that SNL episode. ;)

    New HV Battery

I've had LG batteries in most of EVs and never had a battery issue. I wouldn't get overly concerned about it.

    New HV Battery

I also suspect the majority of the batteries used across the board are LG. So it would make sense the majority of failures would be LG batteries.

    Lucid Air or BMW i5

That surprises me given how quiet my i4 is, but I’ve never driven the i5. It would still be surprising that the pricier i5 would be noisier than the i4. At lower speeds my i4 is certainly quieter than my Lucid, given the absence of front motor noise. Once you’re at highway speeds, it’s a tough...

    Lucid Air or BMW i5

Totally disagree. I own both an i4 and a Lucid Pure AWD. I have no axe to grind and honestly love both cars. There is nothing wrong with repurposing a proven ICE platform for an EV if you’re OK with somewhat cramped rear seating. Not everyone needs a cavernous rear seat. Some even prefer...

    Hunting wild Lucid Airs

If they’re parking their Lucid overnight on a NYC street…no way, no how…at least not me. This is not a person that loves their Lucid. ;)

    Charging curve logs post 2.1.52

True, but for those of us who rarely take these long trips by car, it’s much less of an issue.

So here we are jumping through hoops for a few minutes difference in total session charging time? 🙄

    Charging curve logs post 2.1.52

Thanks for the explanation, makes perfect sense. Now I wonder how much Lucid could loosen up on the charge rates while still not endangering the batteries. I suppose as more miles are racked up by owners, Lucid might be better able to determine that. As an example, my i4 does seem to charge at...

    Charging curve logs post 2.1.52

What to me is odd is that manufacturers generally implement conservative charging curves to protect the battery. So is Lucid ‘less protective’ of the batteries in the GT as opposed to the Pure or Touring? Admittedly I may be missing things, but is the logic that a higher capacity battery...
