    Phantom Braking in Reverse

During my test drive, the vehicle behaved as if HOLD was set, but admittedly I did not check it. The Studio Associate opined that, because I "overrode" the safety system by pressing the accelerator after the automatic braking, the HOLD setting would have reverted to ROLL. Until I get back into...

    12 volt battery(ies) management

My LEAF is the same. I know the 12V is dead when I receive a fault and cannot start the car. A third party BMS is probably the only way to manage this.

    Changing Wheel Size

Sorry. Yeah, I'm finding different versions: https://lucidmotors.com/media/document/Lucid-Gravity-Owners-Manual_en-US.pdf https://lucidmotors.com/media/document/OM_Gravity_enUS_v12_2.pdf

    Changing Wheel Size

I've fed the Air and Gravity Owners Manuals to Gemini. I don't have a way to verify the accuracy, so take this with a grain of salt: Under the Wheels section (page 243) of the Lucid Gravity Owner's Manual, the tire and wheel size configuration is updated on the Pilot Panel (the center lower...

    Key fob naming

My understanding of this aspect of the key fob in the Air and Gravity is that the association is strictly via driver profile. I.e., a specific key can be associated with a named driver profile. There are no other naming options per se.

    AC compressor failure

Holy buckets. That’s impressive. We’re still at 12/12 bars, but I suspect that it’s on the edge of losing a bar (8.33%). Out of necessity, we do occasionally use the CHAdeMO connector for trips to Atlanta but never charge to full. We’re sitting at 51.5K miles

    AC compressor failure

I’m glad I’m not the only person with the thought of holding onto my (soon-to-be) Air for an extended period.

Manual setting of the battery departure percentage to 100%

It doesn't appear that you can override this. The Gravity manual notes that an EV route is "customized to you and your vehicle in the moment". If your car is currently sitting at 30% SOC, the navigation system assumes you are departing immediately with 30%.

    Phantom Braking in Reverse

When reversing in my wife's LEAF, the collision protection starts--as the Lucid does--with beeps to warn that there are objects nearby. If you continue to back up and the system believes hitting an object is imminent, the beeps turn to a steady tone. If you ignore the steady tone for more than a...

Available Vehicles Filter Changed 2026-09-19; Inventory Visibility Now Restricted by Zip Code & Unknown Proximity

Great tip. Thank you. I don't think I was aware of LucidTracker. I'll take a look.

Available Vehicles Filter Changed 2026-09-19; Inventory Visibility Now Restricted by Zip Code & Unknown Proximity

With AlixPartners recently brought in to scrutinize operations, optimize working capital, and trim excess costs, any initiative aimed at trimming costs is certainly on the table. That said, from a pure freight economics perspective, Lucid is likely coming out whole on cross-country studio...

Available Vehicles Filter Changed 2026-09-19; Inventory Visibility Now Restricted by Zip Code & Unknown Proximity

For several weeks, I have been obsessively tracking 2026 Air inventory. As recent as earlier today (US Eastern Time), I was able to specify "Any miles" in order to see what I presumed to be country-wide Air inventory. Moments ago, I checked again (yes, obsessed) and the option to view inventory...

    Rear Seating

When I visited my local Studio and sat in the rear seat of an Air Touring, the Studio Associate opined that most people won’t notice much difference in floor height between the AT and AGT. I gather from this thread that rear seat comfort between the AT and AGT actually can be significant. I...

Eric Bach, fired Chief Engineer, sues!

Generalizing my experiences with insular HR orgs at four large public companies and one PE-owned firm isn't an indictment of an entire profession. My comments, however, added no value to this forum, and I should not have made the post. As far as attacking individuals, you'll never find me doing...

Service center Response time seems to only be getting worse :( (Chicago Goose Island Service Center in this case) anyone else?

Between 20 Aug and 14 Sep, I sent four emails to Customer Care. In each case, I immediately received the expected auto-response that said someone would reach out to me as soon as possible. Crickets. My assumption was that the Customer Care team was probably overwhelmed and doing the best they...

    Target $0

Since I placed my order for a '27 AGT, I've been tracking the '26 Air inventory--i.e., the 2026 inventory visible to me on the Lucid website. (Filter: Air, 2026, Any miles.) Sunday, there were 66 in the list, and they've dropped a bit each day. A moment ago, the Air inventory was 56.

Battery drain when unplugged for long periods

In my research—reading, not yet using—if the car is consuming noticeably more than 1% per day, it typically indicates that a subsystem is preventing deep sleep. Key Fob Proximity: If the key fob or a phone with Mobile Key enabled is within 20–30 feet of the vehicle (such as in an adjacent...

Eric Bach, fired Chief Engineer, sues!

At every company I've worked, HR was an easy target for criticism. They generally deserved it. You'd think the opposite would be true, given their purported mission.
