    Lock unlock update

I have CR2032 batteries in my Tesla fob, and it easily lasts more than a year at a time with either energizer or Panasonic batteries. I would guess that since the Lucid fob is using Bluetooth that it probably requires more energy to do its work than a simple RF transmitter sort of thing like my...

    Lock unlock update

I keep hearing people saying they’re replacing the key fob batteries pretty often. Has anyone sent feedback to Licid that they should make the fob have a rechargeable battery?

    Jon Rettinger's 6 Month Review

That is really nice customer service. In my Model S, I have scratches all over the aluminum trim on the door caused by the seatbelt hitting it when I unbuckle. Any chance your damage is caused by the same?

Now THIS is How to Build an EV Charging Station . . .

What do you wanna use a newfangled technology like _coal_ for? I heat my house with whale oil! That is to say, US history is filled with new energy technologies replacing older ones. The old industries die off, the workers in those industries have to move on. Cities and towns have to adapt or...

Update: 0 miles = bricked battery. They are replacing the battery pack, we still don't know what caused it though.

That's very poor behavior, and probably can be fixed in he future with a software update For comparison sake, my Model S charges with a high/low watermark system. It charges normally to 243 miles (90%), and when the range drops to 232 miles it will charge back to 243 miles again. This...

    Lucid Charger

If looking for a non lucid home charger, I would go with either the ChargePoint or the wall box. There are several other good options though depending on personal needs and circumstances.

Another bug list... are any of my one-offs being seen by others?

It should probably give a warning. At least they got the basic safety thing right though. They really need to disallow opening the trunk and frunk though while the car is moving. That’s not safe.

Another bug list... are any of my one-offs being seen by others?

Can someone please check whether you can change from park to drive/reverse while a charger is still connected?

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

I just noticed that it seems the Pilot Sport A/S 4 has sizes now for the 21" wheels. That use to not be the case. They have the same weight specs as the Pilot Sport 4S. That might be a good option to have the 21" wheels but avoid having to buy a separate winter set.

19" Wheel vs Nissan Altima Wheel

Well now I know what to get for my winter set :)

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

Something went wrong with that post and it was only partial. Let me try that again... Load index 96 = 1565lbs (Michelin fronts) Load index 99 = 1709lbs (Pirelli fronts) Load index 101 = 1819lbs (Michelin rears) Load index 103 = 1929lbs (Pirelli rears) So total capacity with the Michelins...

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

Google tells me the Model S curb weight is 4600-4800 range, so we're talking about ~400-600 lbs more. Load index 96 = 1565lbs

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

Looking at these weight ratings I'm actually a bit worried about whether the Michelins can support the loaded weight of the Air. I know this was mentioned before, but when you hover over the explanations of the weight supports it looks like these might be a few hundred pounds short of being safe...

Here are some links that might help. First, the Tire Rack search for tires that fit the Air...

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

FWIW I also live in MA and have 21" tires on my Model S every summer for the past 4 years. I mostly don't have a problem with either Pilot Super Sport or Pilot Sport 4S (I've had sets of each). I've popped 2 tires this whole time, so less than 1 per year average. The first tire loss was the day...

Maybe the 21 inch were a bad idea

Actually, to follow up on my own post... I've had the opposite experience with road hazard warranty through Tire Rack. I've bought a lot of tires from TR over the past 10 years for my Model S. I've blown tires maybe 3 times, and every time their warranty has mostly covered the replacement cost...

Maybe the 21 inch were a bad idea

My experience with dealer-sold tire warranties is that they are not worth it. As an example, the last and final time I tried this was on a Mini Cooper S. It comes with noisy, poor handling, expensive run-flat tires. The warranty cost $1400 I think, which was roughly the cost of an entire set of...

    iOS 16 - CarPlay

Ultimately the most important thing is the product quality and the customer experience. Lucid's own hopes and dreams of some glorious infotainment implementation are great. If that's the path they choose to get the best customer experience then they should head down that path. OTOH, if they...

    3 month Free Tidal Sub

Does anyone know if the 3 months can be used as 3 free months for an existing Tidal user? I am considering trying Tidal out now, before my AGT arrives, but I don't want to miss out on the 3 free months. New users only get 1 month normally.

    Software Bugs

Agreed, I just want to know separately how many people have hit problems charging at home. The EA problems sound (unfortunately) expected at this point.
