    Cold Weather and heater comfort

For whatever temp you prefer, for me the fan speed makes all the difference. 70℉ with fan speed 2 is not effective. Turning the fan speed up to 5 or 6 is effective. I prefer the quiet of lower fan speed but I'll tolerate 5-6 to get comfortable air temp.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

It could but it's not for sure. My driver's training simulated this, and we were trained to quickly look through the gap under the open hood, bring the car to a safe stopping point. Real life is messier than training but it's a reflex that could save your and others' lives. I'm OK with the limp...

Canada - Northern USA with actual winters: what's a realistic range expectation?

I have the Pure AWD and drive monthly >200 miles over high mountain passes in winter for past two winters. (I'm looking forward to going again tomorrow!) Temps are usually between 20-35F for most of the way, sometimes as low as 0F. The efficiency I get is minimally impacted by the cold temps...

I took my 2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD to a race track and here are my in depth comments

Mine is F. My intuition is your info seems right, feels more like ~480hp than >600hp the one time I tried launch mode and held it into the higher speed range. My buddy nearby has a Touring AWD, maybe we need to do side by side launch mode test.

I took my 2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD to a race track and here are my in depth comments

Whoa whoa -- where can I look this up? Please share! I ordered my Pure AWD in April 2022, delivered July 2023 so one of the earliest Pure AWD's, have been confounded unable to learn horsepower number......

Only DIsappointment in an otherwise great car.

My favorite trick is to use the Pause/Play button at your right thumb on the steering wheel, right away upon getting into the car. For me this always resumes whatever I was last listening to last time I drove. I do still have to tap the menus when changing what I want to hear. It's #2 in this...

    Lucid Winter Wheel Package

I love the 19" Pirelli Sottozero winter wheel package I got from the Lucid Store. [Here.] I'm in the Cascade & Coast mountains frequently here, two winters now on these wheels. Lucid mobile service swaps them out seasonally in my driveway for a very modest charge.

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

I don't think of the air's underside as "heavily armored" -- it's aerodynamically smooth but it's plastic panels, because weight is already up there. I expect same with Gravity but who knows. For reference I upgrade skidplates on my offroad motorcycles for exactly this armoring purpose, but...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

After I plugged in, the Lucid app was notified of that from Tesla's & Lucid's online services, app asked me which bay/charger I was using, tapped the 3B option and boom, charging began. Wish I'd grabbed screen shots, will do that next time I try it. It Just Worked! 👍

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Sorry for redundant post with other thread -- I just tried it tonight here in Seattle and it all just worked super-smoothly. Plugged Lucid's adapter into Tesla's cable, then into car, then the app asked me to confirm which stall I was in, then boom, charging, 48kW (from ~59% up to 66%.) <$4...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

It just works! I love it. I don't plan to use it regularly but great to know it just works. No Tesla account! Followed the steps, 2.8.0 app, it just worked super-smoothly.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

That's exactly my experience today too. One difference that may or may not matter, but I care about, is that because I bought it from Lucid at a premium, I expect (with confidence) they'll stand behind it in the 1% chance anything isn't plug-and-play. I hope to try mine out this weekend.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

I don't use Sirius nor Spotify but I do use Tidal, Bluetooth (VLC on phone) and FM -- and for all three of those, whenever I get in the car, I just hit the Pause/Play button on the steering wheel, and the car resumes whatever I was last listening too, no menus no nothin'. Have you tried with...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I only use the Homelink button at my other house, will be there mid-week this week and try it out. But even before the upgrade my Homelink on the Lucid dash always worked great first push. I only push it within ~20' of the garage. It's a 27-year-old opener, branded "overhead door." Good luck!

    My Biggest Concern with Gravity

Yesterday Lucid gave ~100 of us free passes into the Electrify Expo here in greater Seattle area. I got to see a Porsche Taycan with this cool variable LCD sunroof. Maybe Lucid can work on adding that to future Gravity and Air models...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I got the upgrade this past Friday, luck had mine in for 2-year service and luck had one in stock for me at the Seattle service center. It is noticeably (to me) snappier than before. I haven't used CarPlay in a while so it looks different from the last time I used it: Shout out to the Seattle...

Ramp for bike when using roff racks

I'm guessing they'd have to sell a certain minimum number to just break even on the engineering, and you'd only want Lucid's own service technicians to do the install because it would require cutting through the aerodynamic bottom plastic panels, and if attachment points weren't designed into...

How long to keep an EV?

I totally get the arc of your thinking here. Maybe it boils down to how happy you are in absolute terms VERSUS knowing what others are enjoying. I've had my Pure AWD for 21 months, done 100% of scenarios I'd do with any vehicle, a few new challenges (like planning where & when to charge ahead...
