So it finally happened - my first stranded / tow truck service call.

I washed it about a week ago. The joys of living in snow.

So it finally happened - my first stranded / tow truck service call.

Problem is that loons don't hibernate, they head to the ocean. I should take a page from their book...

So it finally happened - my first stranded / tow truck service call.

Around 7pm tonight, I was backing my '24 Pure out of my (plowed but snowy) driveway, and then the car showed me the Drive System Fault error and refused to get out of park. Tried the screen reset and nothing changed. I called Lucid support (who answered very quickly and took all my info and...

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

Forgot to add one more winter annoyance: Very loud buzzing sound from the front of the car when heating is turned on. Strangely, it stops when you turn on the defroster...

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

I live in one of the snowiest / winteriest parts of the world at the moment, and have a RWD pure. With good winter tires, I've never gotten stuck, either on ice, deep snow or freezing rain, nor have I had any losses of control. The car is heavy, the weight distribution is excellent, and the...

    OTHER Winter Range Mega thread.

I'd say it's already here. On a related note, I forgot how interesting driving a RWD car over black ice and snow could be, even with good winter tires. Saw lots of cars (mostly SUVs) in the ditch this weekend. Thankfully the traction control on the Lucid is excellent and the extra weight is...

    OTHER Winter Range Mega thread.

True, though I suspect the air draft from the tops of the windows that aren't sealing properly are causing me to lose more heat (and thus use the heating more) to compensate. While 2/3rds is a pretty big drop, I don't mind it so much since the starting range is so high.

    OTHER Winter Range Mega thread.

Just drove my Pure for most of the weekend in about -2c degree weather, and a snowstorm on the way back (so about 45mph on the highway for the return trip), on Pirelli EV XL winter tires, from a full charge with a stated range of 642km. Drove about 420km with estimated 19km left before getting...

    Stoplight moment

This is a good answer. Given the chance to have a beer with someone famous, I would definitely choose someone I don't agree with / fully understand, because I figure I would have more to gain from that conversation than with someone that I'm already onboard with. On that topic, when do you...

1-month in Canada impressions, Lucid Air Pure

Almost a month in my 48-month lease on a Pure, base, in rural Quebec. The temperatures are dropping to 0 degrees Celsius this week. First off, this is an amazing car to drive, and I don't regret my decision (over a BMW i4 and Polestar 4) at all. The good: Handling, stability, cornering UI...

    UX 2.5 OTA Update

Also no quality difference here, it still sounds "fine" but the max volume and bass still seem wayyy lower than standard.

New owner picking up this week, Lucid Air Pure, near Montreal!

Super excited to be picking up my Air this week! I had a deposit on a Polestar 4 but delivery date was pushed back to next summer, visited Lucid, and the lease rates / interest rates / residuals were much better on the Lucid, and the test drive (and awesome sales experience) sealed the deal at...
