    Emad Dlala out

If you’ve ever worked at a company that had a change in the CEO (I’m sure most of us have), it’s really not that unusual for the new guy to want to clean house and bring in all of their loyal lieutenants. Let’s see who the new CEO stocks his team with - that will tell you a lot about the future...

    Emad Dlala out

I wonder how much of the comp packages for these execs were restricted stock units or options that are so severely underwater and the hope for a big payoff has vanished….its one thing to work tirelessly for the moonshot rewards but something else entirely if those potential rewards disappear or...

    Emad Dlala out

Luxury isn’t asking your neighbors for a ride or walking to the bus stop to get home. When you pony up for an elevated experience, the experience better be elevated. Once one high end maker offered loaner cars (brilliant by the way), others had no choice. BMW used to always give me one level...

    Emad Dlala out

Yep - Tesla was creating everything out of whole cloth - they were literally inventing the ecosystem entirely with no precursors. The companies that have followed have it easier and harder at the same time - they can learn from Tesla’s experience, leverage those suppliers, use tested processes...

    Emad Dlala out

Turns out the engineering magic was the easy part. Running the business successfully is what is dragging Lucid down, not the technical details.

Anyone ever had their child hurt by the 2nd row of a vehicle?

The mansplaining here…..anything to excuse a defect.

    picking up tomorrow....

Who cares how great it is on the one day out of 90 that it works (exaggeration intended). If it was the best driving Ferrari in the world but it caused me this much aggravation, I wouldn’t want anything to do with it. Just like my coach used to tell me - the best kind of ability is...

I honestly can’t believe what you guys are willing to put up with.

Possible new owner with service question

I think it is asking for pain if you don’t live close to a service center, and even then it has to be one with a good reputation for communication and service. If you are several hours away? Forget about it - that is inviting a massive hassle factor into your life. I’d feel the same about...

    Lucid Lemon Law

To be fair, Porsche more often than not tells you to go pound sand too. PCNA is usually completely unhelpful and you are at the mercy of the local dealer and how much they feel like helping. Some are very good at escalating and pushing on your behalf, others not so much. They might follow the...

    Lucid Lemon Law

Or you can just make note of who won the arbitration and give the benefit of the doubt to that person, rather than wonder about the “real story”.

    Interview with Rivian/Volkswagen Software Chief

My wife is at least one more person who refuses to look at Rivian or Tesla because of the lack of CarPlay. She uses it on every drive, is 100% comfortable with it, it works the same in every single car that has it, and she is not interested in learning a new system at all, no matter how good it...

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

The alternative if you opt out is you aren’t beholden to arbitration and you sue them directly. There’s a reason all these companies want to force you into arbitration and it isn’t for your benefit.

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

What happens if their lawyers don’t show up to the arbitration hearing and don’t have a reason submitted beforehand? Seems like it would be an automatic ruling against Lucid, but I never underestimate how much the consumer gets screwed and the companies get protected in stuff like this.

    Ferrari Luce EV

All I know is, I’ve dreamed of owning a Ferrari all my life, and this monstrosity couldn’t be further away from what was in my dreams. Who cares about the actual specs compared to any other car on the planet when it is this butt ugly to begin with.

I’d say layoffs to the service department are starting to have an effect…

No affiliation but these guys post on the Tesla forum about their services all the time - at least worth a call to see if they could check your alignment? https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/tesla-service-maintenance-in-dallas%E2%80%93fort-worth.352120/

Car locked with child inside and would not unlock

My point is this - if you were locked out of your car and desperate to get in because your child was in there, it would never occur to you to at least push the handle, even if just in frustration? I would be trying everything and it seems Iike pushing on the handle, even if I didn’t know if...
