    Another positive EA experience

I’ve been road tripping across the country (from RI to CA). While most of my Lucid’s electron thirst has been met by destination chargers at hotels (which is the way to go in my opinion), I did have to charge today and just so happened to be an EA station in Erick, OK. Showed up preconditioned...

Coolant Leak and Other Issues (DE)

Maybe I’ll give it a try through hertz one of these days. Not looking to replace the Lucid..just curious.

Coolant Leak and Other Issues (DE)

Ok, that’s got to be frustrating. Stuff like this makes me wonder how thoroughly things were diagnosed initially. Sorry you’re having to go through this.

Coolant Leak and Other Issues (DE)

This happened to me driving in the rain. I got a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and it flashed several times without ever staying on long enough to see what it was about. Yet another example. Mine had some sort of text next to it but it appeared and disappeared so quickly, I...

I’ve been curious about trying a polestar. Didn’t you say at some point you had one through Hertz?

Electrify America is enraging EV owners

It’s Lucid’s fault for making the vehicle so comfortable on long drives.

Electrify America is enraging EV owners

Strike a deal with Tesla to use their network and eventually adopt NACS. A premium vehicle deserves a premium network. This is akin to buying the highest end 8K TV only to watch 480p content from 2001.

Damage from an entry gate, $20,000 repair!!! (local certified Lucid shop.)

I was also told the same thing. Upon disassembly, single use clips are torn and many undamaged parts necessitated replacement. In the efforts of engineering the vehicle to death to save every cubic millimeter, we’re now left with a hugely expensive vehicle to repair should even the slightest...

"Charging power limited by station" explained by CS

Well, I recall Kyle Connor doing a YouTube video on how crappy charging of certain EA units is in cold weather. So really, EA has no good seasons. It more like when does it suck the least…

Damage from an entry gate, $20,000 repair!!! (local certified Lucid shop.)

Eerily similar damage to my car. Repair cost $19K at the only Lucid approved shop. For some odd reason the absolutely undamaged headlight on the side of the damage also had to be replaced in my case. Frankly obscene, but I at least feel a bit better knowing that my shop wasn’t the only one...

Turtle Mode, Warranty and What to Expect

To your point, the fact that when I’m out of town for a week and downright miss driving the car speaks to its overall appeal. I love the damn thing, just wish it wasn’t as quirky as it can be at times.

Turtle Mode, Warranty and What to Expect

Well, I’ve never owned another car that I’ve had in my possession for 2/3 of the time due to its being at the dealer to correct various issues under warranty. My ownership experience thus far has not left me confident on how well the Lucids will age.

Recommendations for 19" Winter Tires: Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 or Vredestein

Bobby, I believe the Lucid tires carry an HL loading rating. This is slightly higher than XL at a given tire pressure. I think your FAQ still quotes XL.

Lucid Air for daily use as home battery?

Misspoke, motors need AC power to run. The battery only delivers DC current. So that’s the purpose of the inverter. Question is can it also be used to provide AC current out of the battery to another source (your home) or is it just for the motor.

Lucid Air for daily use as home battery?

yes, but the electric motors need DC power to run. So that AC current provided by the Lucid connector or whatever other wall charger one is using needs to be converted to DC current, which the Wunderbox handles. So, we know for sure that AC to DC inversion is handled by the car. To get AC...

Lucid Air for daily use as home battery?

Do we know this for sure? Technically speaking, every EV must have an AC to DC inverter if you’re ever going to charge from a wall outlet, but can they do the reverse as well without an external DC to AC inverter? Eric Bach, feel free to weigh in, lol.

Passenger door handle broken / grinding

I had this issue. Embarrassing sound when you’re in public as it can sound a bit like gunfire. The handle and lock mechanism needed to be replaced. This wasn’t a software fix.
