I received an email from Lucid Friday thanking me again for placing an order and saying that a test drive would be scheduled "soon." Not really news, but at least they are communicating with me.

After multiple 12V battery replacements in my 2017 Tesla MS P100D, I replaced it with an LFP battery. The charging schedule is a bit wonky because the MS does not have a setting for LFP batteries - just different types of SLAs. Consequently, I occasionally get spurious warnings about the battery...

Yes, I have seen the comments to that effect and I believe them, but the hypothesis isn't true until proven, so we're waiting for the explanation. As a NCAS adopter, I can't imagine they could be surprised by the need for a charging architecture that intelligently deals with low-voltage...

Driving for free on solar power since 2013.

Darn well should be! At least Lucid is officially on the list now. We've known that Hyundai/Genesis/Kia were coming soon, and I saw a report on Tom Moloughney's channel that Mercedes was coming in February. Progress is being made. Now if we can just find out how Lucid plans to avoid the Air's...

He also compared the 2 vehicles overall and concluded Gravity was the better choice. He'd only pick the Caddy for hands-free long-range highway cruising (or maybe he said "cursing'. I had it on 1.5x speed ;)). Land yacht vs sports SUV. I was surprised just how bad the Esclade was. Efficiency 50%...

Nice to see some details on what changed since the pre-production models, such as the HUD. In my colors, too (not that I am unique, there ;))! Best view of the titanium brake calipers I have seen. They go really well with Aurora Green. I noticed the adapter box in the back, but upon closer...

I just noticed that Lucid has posted the EPA milage for all of the Gravity wheel options: 20/21 - 450 21/22 - 407 22/23 - 407 I'm surprised that the drop is so large between the 20/21 and 20/22s, but also that there is no difference for the 22/21 compared to the 21/22s. 🤨

As someone who spent half their career in engineering and half in marketing (unusual, I know ;)), I can appreciate both sides of this discussion. However, I suspect the audience at the moment is pretty nerdy. Few non-nerds pay so much attention to unreleased vehicles that they are watching these...

I recommend watching this review from the Autopian. At 12:46 there is an interview with David Flint, head of Lucid UX, who demonstrated a much more complete (and working) UI than I have seen before. The steering wheel gesture controls were working and he even showed how to open the glovebox! ;)...

I selected the 20/21s as I am coming from a Tesla MS with 21" low profile tires that, coupled with very tight Tesla sir suspension, results in a pretty busy ride with a lot of tire noise. Based on the video reviews that all have cars with the 22/23s, I think I over-corrected and the 21/22s may...

I was just about to ask this question. The Tesla CCS Combo 1 adapter spec says it supports up to 250 kw, but I assume this is limited to 500A and therefore 500V. I guess that is why they say it does not support Cybertruck, either? If you could get any info out of Lucid on when Gravity will be...

More reviews: MotorTrend. Includes a driving video. Car and Driver. No video. Also gets a number of little things wrong (e.g. saying the Dynamic Handling package comes with three 22/23" wheels) and the prices listed don't match the website. These reviews all have common themes of great...

A few notes for those who find Kyle too long-winded to watch ;) Note: this was a pre-production unfinished mule, not one off the production line. First, some details that were not previously published or were vague: 120 kw usable battery capacity new cell chemistry supposedly enables faster...

Yes, there are a lot of these. Clearly click bait. I've been reporting these videos as misinformation to YouTube. More votes will help.

The OOS Gravity review is live! Posting here before I watch it, so no comments yet.

The color accuracy, white balance, etc. in this photo are terrible, so no need to panic even though this looks like 💩. My sales rep told me that anyone who paid a deposit would be offered a test drive when Gravities (Gravitys?? ;)) arrived in showrooms in Q1, so hopefully we'll know more soon...

The video on X of the first Gravity rolling off the production line was just the end of the video. Here is a slightly longer video of Vin 001, which is most definitely Aurora Green with a Tahoe interior.

Factory team, I assume. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

I believe that Gravity is on a separate production line in the AMP-1 factory expansion they completed this year. Not 100% on this.
