OK, how many less ECUs and "chips" are there going to be in the midsize to affect significantly the complexity? Give me your estimate, since you have so much experience in the field. The software team hasn't demonstrated that the can produce ANY (mostly) bug-free code yet. Starting from scratch...

Luckily (for you), EE didn't write a review about your wife. And luckily (for you again), there is only one copy of your wife and no company's future depends on her software quality.

And I am asking again, did that work when they did it for Gravity?

I really, REALLY hope you are wrong. Lucid haven't demonstrated that they can write decent software. Complete overhauls won't teach them how to do that. Fix what you have first, THEN you'll know how to make it better. They did an overhaul once with the Gravity software? How did that go?

If the car spent in the garage the whole night, I am pretty sure the battery temperature is the same as the outside temperature. But thank you for reiterating the obvious.

    [RESOLVED] LEAVE-REGEN-ALONE

I've driven the car at similar temperatures yesterday and today. Yesterday the regen (and the power consumption) was pretty bad, almost non-existent. Today it was fine. On Thursday, at much lower temperatures (at least 25 degrees lower), the regen was also fine. There is something else going...

I know it's not the common view here, but I love the fact that they are making "robustness" updates. The fact that they don't have what to report means that they are fixing long standing issues and cleaning up the code. Of course, there are going to be issues when you do that, and we have all...

Actually, the turn signal sounds are the perfect way to asses the OS. "Some jitter" is not something human should be able to hear. "Some jitter" means millisecond more or less. That's not what I hear. I really wish I was able to see if the blinkers follow the sound, but I am too lazy to set...

BTW, the tempo of the sound for the turn signals the car keeps tells me everything I need to know about the real-time-ness the car's OS has. Or rather the lack of it.

I don't know what isolation of processes does QNX have, but I know that Lucid's infotainment software crashes in ways that reboot screens. That doesn't sound very isolated for me. For infotainment system real-time OS doesn't make any sense. Compute is embarrassingly cheap anyway and all...

If they are really using QNX, that is a major mistake, IMHO. There are many ways to achieve soft real-time with normal OSes like Linux that are much easier to program.

I don't know Nick, he might be a great person. But being the head of communication and knowing how well Lucid communicates, he is clearly not very good at his job.

It's the nitpicky issues that you encounter every day that make or break a car success.

    Software Issues are Universal

If there is a SINGLE user for whom the software is faulty, then the software is faulty.

It seems that there is a response from Lucid on his video: It would've been nice if instead of waiting for a negative review and reacting, they should've announced that (with some more details) earlier.

"You have a sour demeanor and do not seem happy here, or with Lucid. It strikes me that perhaps you would be happier on another site. You are entitled to how you feel and we get that, but why continue with the site or the vehicle if they add stress or make you unhappy?"

Does that mean that you'll delete 9point81 comment that calls me names? No? Why not?
