Anyone else kind of sick of the Gravity negative posts?

It seems many of the SDV companies are using the fact that software can be upgraded as an excuse to deliver low-quality software. Lucid, as well as Tesla to some extent are certainly doing that.

    Frightening Breakdown, Horrible Service

I have three emails that I use. For forums like this I don't use the same email that my friends know. That keeps clearer separation and makes it harder for the companies that track people on Internet to figure out ALL that I do.

    Auto Open Seems Improved...

I think you are right. I also changed my behavior a bit, following the suggestion by somebody's comment here, so it might have changed what I see. I now take my phone out of my pocket while approaching the car.

    Frightening Breakdown, Horrible Service

I wouldn't "take the few minutes" to become a verified poster, because a) I don't care to be one; and b) I don't like leaking identifiable information about myself on the Internet. So no, not everything is about time.

    Cold weather road trip

At this point I am so comfortable with ABRP's estimates that I let it plan trips where I reach the next charger with 10% of the battery. I use the Enode integration that allows it to get the real-time efficiency from the car though.

    Email from Marc/Lucid this morning

These are the only two options? Interesting.

    Email from Marc/Lucid this morning

    They have? When and where?

    Email from Marc/Lucid this morning

I am repeating this for n-th time, but just putting a "Report bug" button on the car's display would do wonders.

    Email from Marc/Lucid this morning

Email for reporting issues? What's this, 1990s? P.S. Overall awesome news though...

    2.8.17 update

I am still with .16, but it's like having two different cars. Yesterday, no regen and 2.3 mi/kWh, today regen and 3.8 mi/kWh. No significant difference of temperature or routes.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

Just "forget" the WiFi that you have trouble with, no need to turn WiFi off completely. There are certain WiFi networks that the Lucid has trouble with. I don't know if anybody has found what the issue is. For example, if I connect to the main WiFi network at home, I can't connect to the car. If...

    Lucid Autonomous Driving Future

You switched Thor and Orin. Thor is Nvidia's latest Jetson and it claims to have 2000 TOPS performance. Of course, that's for FP4 operations and mostly theoretical, and not very likely to be achieved in real life. It doesn't seem that Rivian said what data types the 2000 TOPS are for, so it...

    I like your original answer.

    Lucid Autonomous Driving Future

Lucid is making the cars. They are just delivering the cars to Nuro and Nuro is doing all the integration.

    Lucid Autonomous Driving Future

I looked around on Nvidia DRIVE AV website and I don't see any Nvidia autonomous software being mentioned. It seems that they are providing just the hardware, OS, libraries, and nothing else. P.S, It seems that I was wrong: https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/nvidia-uber-robotaxi

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

The stock price is not the only criteria that you can use to measure the effect of these reviews. Let's see if the sales are affected before we declare that they are "overblown".

    Make it official: beta testing

Since Lucid treats us as beta testers anyway, let's make it official. Put a big fat "Report bug" on the screen that when pressed takes a snapshot of the software's state and sends it to Lucid. Add the ability to add description to the report later when the car is in Park mode. It can be a...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

Of course it is. I am just demonstrating where the metaphor breaks down. Getting parts for your wife doesn't depend on the success of the "company" that made it. :)

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

It is definitely not exponential. Software engineers LOVE writing new code instead of fixing the old one. But the new code will be as bad as the old one unless you KNOW what was wrong with the old. And the only way to KNOW is to fix it first.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I am not convinced of that and I am arguing against it. The person that I am responding to is convinced that they should start from scratch.
