US carmakers should be terrified, including Lucid

So, is anybody actually doing anything with the time bought? It doesn't seem so.

US carmakers should be terrified, including Lucid

That's only going to lead to American manufacturers getting even more behind the curve. Protectionism never protected anybody in the long run.

    No more Model S/X production

That's not new, TSLA has always been a meme stock.

Tesla discontinues lane centering from Autopilot: TechCrunch

BTW, did they figure out the phantom braking problem yet? No? I thought so. :)

Tesla discontinues lane centering from Autopilot: TechCrunch

I've heard that FOR YEARS. It always sucked a year ago, and it is always perfect now. :) Then I try it, and it tries to kill me. I've relatively recently had the "pleasure" to teach my younger son how to drive. It's very similar feeling to "supervising" FSD. Definitely not fun.

Tesla discontinues lane centering from Autopilot: TechCrunch

I gave it a shot about a year ago before I sold my Tesla. It tried to kill me only twice during a 750 mile trip, so that might have been an improvement.

    "Lucid Ramping up Deliveries"

After the DOGE insanity, I sold my Tesla and moved to Lucid.

Last time I checked, he was still the CEO.

    Climate control

This is not a Lucid specific rant, but anyway... Am I too nerdy to be really annoyed by the fact the the climate control requires a single temperature point as a goal instead of a range? If I could set a range, I wouldn't have to change it in different seasons. I can live comfortably in the...

    Software leadership team fired

You don't need AI to write bad code. You just need unexperienced software engineers and lack of a workflow that ensures quality.

Trip Computer efficiency is wrong and here's my proof

Which efficiency numbers are you looking at? "Since last charge"? Reset one of the trips in the morning before you drive off and compare those instead.

    Software leadership team fired

Was it a software issue? If not, can you please not discuss it in this thread? Thanks!

Good start. Now let's hope that the new leadership is better.

"Trimble Delivers Lane-Level Precision" to Gravity

Centimeter-level accuracy will definitely help with the self-driving software.

    2.8.17 update

I still don't have it either. I've given up already. Hopefully the next one will show up for me.

    2.8.17 update

Have you registered your car with any third-party apps like Lucid Tracker, Lucid Logger, or Home Assistant? Another thing you can try is completely removing the Lucid app from your phone and seeing if that would help.

Anyone else kind of sick of the Gravity negative posts?

The fact that something is used doesn't make it not obsolete. With the significant increase of cheap computational power and number of cores, real-time guarantees are quite easy to achieve without special OSes.

Anyone else kind of sick of the Gravity negative posts?

Respectfully, as someone who has workin on SW for ~30 years, there is a way to prevent MOST of the bugs before the software even goes to QA. We are not talking about SOME bugs here, we are talking about many, many, many bugs, most of them randomly showing up for some but not all users. I...

Anyone else kind of sick of the Gravity negative posts?

Based on my, and other people's experience here. I have on idea why you think mentioning terms like "race conditions" and "concurrency" makes sense. I mean, I know what they mean, but I doubt most people here do. The likely reason for that particular bug is different, but there is no point...

Anyone else kind of sick of the Gravity negative posts?

While I agree that some bugs are hard to reproduce, the sheer amount of bugs in Lucid software show that's not the case here. The best way to fix bugs is to make sure they don't exist in the first place. It doesn't seem that Lucid is using any standard techniques for quality software...
