Encounter Extraordinary - NYC March 28-30

Am sure someone will post here by Thursday evening or Friday morning about what's actually happening and then you can decide. I live nearby and am planning to drop by on Friday afternoon, so you'll know by then worst case.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Ah I'm envious :). The manhattan studio has never let me get close to the preproduction version.

    Special Lucid Motors Evening

Ah I just responded to your other post. She seemed quite adamant it was a production gravity (which probably means it's already shipped from AZ to get here in time... unless they are flying them around?). And yes, as we have learned, sales reps aren't always fully informed so take it with grain...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

That was me. I get your skepticism. I confirmed a couple of times with her that it'll be a production version. Was then surprised that you couldn't even sit in it. She hedged a bit on that front after pushing. Couldn't tell how much she was holding back or just didn't know. Regardless, I walked...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Ah I talked to them about it. Interesting that they told me no VIP portion but clearly, the night before is a private event. https://lucidowners.com/threads/special-lucid-motors-evening.11648/#post-256988

    Special Lucid Motors Evening

Talked to Manhattan studio rep. Event at that studio from Fri - Sun in two weeks. A production Gravity will be on display. Said "very different display" than before. Will be closed Wed and Thur before hand to prep. Uncertain if you can sit in it; definitely no test drives yet. Apparently no...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Learned something new today! thanks for writing it out 🙏 In trying to replicate this calc, I also discovered that excel formula `=PMT(...)`. Plugging in numbers from Lucid's website for an Air lease made me realize that APR is likely below 1% (or RV v high. Need to know one or the other to nail...

Lucid Gravity - First ride in Production vehicle!

Fair enough. Appreciate the explanation and my apologies for the speculative part of my post 🙏

Lucid Gravity - First ride in Production vehicle!

Already watched it a couple of times to catch as many details as I could! So nice to see. I'm a little confused about who owns this car and how they were allowed to film it. I think neither the driver or passenger own this car, right? So, the owner is unknown or anon enough to allow this b/c...

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

Oh haha. Nothing like citing you to you. Agreed, it’s a noisy data point at best.

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

Mostly range-related tradeoff for me. Want max range. And 800+ hp more than enough for my grandpa-like driving style ;-) Someone in another thread mentioned that apparently DE doesn't put you in front of the line? If that's true, then one less reason for me to switch to DE.

    Gravity [Dream Edition] Reservations Tracker

🙋‍♂️ (though I will be sticking to my original GGT order)

    Test drive before 2H25.....maybe?

My impression was that leases won't be available for dream edition (similar to Air DE?) but will be for GGT? I'm wondering if Gravity DE are imminently going into production, as those deposits were not refundable.

    Dream Edition aiyoooo!

I wonder if there is a crazy plan to deliver all dream editions by end of Q1... and they have delayed some studio units to make that happen.

    Dream Edition aiyoooo!

If DE announced now, I wonder what they meant by "something truly special towards end of Q1"?

    2024 Total Deliveries Announced

When they say "...approximately 7% were subject to operating lease accounting", does that mean only 7% of vehicles delivered in the quarter were leased and rest were bought/financed? If so, I would have expected more leases given $7500 EV credit (and potential chance that it'll go away).

What’s your estimate - Gravity volume for 2025

I'm in the first bucket: 3k - 5k units for 2025. Anything more would be a welcome surprise. My armchair analysis: 1. A careful production ramp up likely means a slow trickle till Summer, so most of this is going to be in second half of the year. I could see 500 units in first 6 months (2-3/day...
