Air Version 2.9.2 - Pure RWD only

There must be some common thread of passes and failures. I’ve seen cars from 24 to 26 both pass and fail. Seems to me that everyone got the Low Battery message in the app after the update ‘completed’. I was plugged in to L1 for the update.

    Air Version 2.9.0

For those seeing this issue, you may be safer to not interact with the car too much. Seems like there’s a good chance the car can’t engage HV meaning the 12V battery is on its own, and could die if you keep it awake too much. I have no inside knowledge on the specific issue, but fruit for...

    Air Version 2.9.0

24 Pure on 2.9.2. Updated and car is fine. I hadn’t tried putting it in drive since the update but just did and confirmed it’s fine. Thank god because I’m 400 miles from home. I did see the same Low Battery emergency alerts in the app others have reported right after it finished but it cleared...

    Air Version 2.9.0

Looks like all the Pures got 2.9.2 at the same time. I don’t see any difference in the notes.

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

Dual Standards “All Purpose” looks the same as Conserve on the gen 1 quad we had. Always disconnects rear axle, always lowers on highway

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

Got the R1S back. The only finding was that from the factory, the wheel selection was wrong in UI. Rivian themselves refers to their two 20” wheels in different ways across sources, sometimes using “All-Terrain” for both and sometimes separating All-Season. We have all season, it was set to...

Any user feedback on the PurLuxe lighting comment? Still awaiting my update.

Little update on this situation. I work with someone who recently joined my company from Rivian test, and he was on their EPA certification testing. He was floored at our efficiency and agreed it’s on par with towing, recommended we send the car back which we have. Our loaner is a gen1 Quad...

    Found CCCv2 indicator - Spotify

Mine is either April or May 24, can’t remember at the moment. I’ve seen at least one other person with a month earlier build date than mine who also has V2.

Transporting Multiple Dogs in a Lucid Gravity – Setups & Recommendations?

We traded Gravity and R1S for regularly transporting large dogs (Great Dane rescue). Picked R1S and bought this semi-specialized crate. Fits well

    Air Version 2.9.0

From the data I have looking at the Home Assistant integration, it seems the 2.15 app may be holding the car awake now? Car is still on 2.8.30. Typically there are large chunks of time overnight with missing data, consistent with sleep. Now there is a 100% consistent data stream and it seems...

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

Good data. My intention wasn’t that a Pure could do the trip on one charge, but one stop would definitely beat 3

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

Given the cars efficiency and cost of using Tesla SCs (auto recommended for every stop both ways by route planning) the trip cost roughly $130 each way and turned a 6 hour return drive into 8. We will definitely by giving the Air a shot for the next trip over this R1S.

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

Contrary to the norm, I absolutely had to stay at the speed limit if I wanted to make it through the desert. So 75 through AZ and 70 through CA.

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

Being a Dual Standard I don’t think it has a direct Conserve mode, but it’s definitely in FWD and lowering at speed. The only applicable spec beyond being gen2 Dual Standard is that it does have the 20” all terrain tire vs the 22” range.

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

I drive an Air Pure, my wife now has an R1S (gen2, Dual Standard Range). Our previous trips were done in her iX 50i, and we’d stop twice for roughly 30 minutes each, while cruising at 80 to 85 most of the time. The BMW did an exceptional job with range on arrival estimates, despite the high...
