    UX 3.0 Update

I was told there are a number of hardware limitations on air for some of the gravity features we want to see.

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I tried with a similar prompt to what an engineer showed me on the demo day. It is not the new assistant.

    3.0 on Air

CarPlay should just be the small buttons at the top of the upper center display. It did take me a second to figure out how to exit CarPlay, which was by using the same very small button at the top of display

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

New Home Screens Bottom bar is configurable, items not chosen here are available in the bottom right menu Multitasking examples. Home with maps. Maps with Music. Music with maps. New artwork for drive modes. Drive mode buttons have shifted up to align with Gravity (I've accidentally turned off...

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I've been running the update for a few days now and can now speak openly on it. Multitasking is a well welcomed improvement, and its implementation has felt quite fluid. Camera framerate feels a touch improved, but I never felt my car specifically had framerate issues, while I loaner I had...

If you have mobile key and the card in your wallet …

I’ve never been let down by PAAK. I carried a fob for two months with a loaner and it annoyed me. Sure it was slightly quicker and having a frunk button meant I used the frunk more, but didn’t find it worth it. I guess you could stash the card in the car somewhere? There’s a few good hiding...

Lucid API Battery Health % - Has this been determined to be reasonably accurate?

State of health (SOH) is continually calculated by the BMS. They are generally accurate on their own but sometimes can correct a bit with certain routines (charging to full and leaving for a while, draining to 0 then charging to 100, ect). Lots of factors go into SOH and it’s usually a pretty...

Lucid API Battery Health % - Has this been determined to be reasonably accurate?

I’d assume yes, given the various reports it doesn’t seem to be a simple time or mileage curve so I’d take it at face value. My 24 Pure with 20k miles (DCFCd maybe 10 times in 2 years) shows 92% SOH (at 78 kWh capacity). Not very happy with that.

Savagegeese got a Gravity for long-term review

As many say both here and in the YouTube comments, hope all the best for the reviewers for a positive experience. So many people are rooting for a good experience, hoping this round is the charm.

Which adapters do you actually use?

Here’s an example. I just drove from SoCal to NorCal for a one day trip. I got a hotel right next to my destination, and was going home right after. The only EV charger in the immediate area was a 50kW evGo. I had time to kill in the morning, so I used it for an hour and it saved me a stop...

Which adapters do you actually use?

I have one in the trunk for emergency, but I’d never actually plan to use it. Why stop for 50 kW?

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

It’s probably healthy to assume that if Air does get a software release starting with a 3, it would make sense that it’s 3.0. Gravity is currently well ahead of that number. So functionality wise, I would be guessing at the functionality of a 3.0, rather than a 3.6.

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

CarPlay is great to make a cheaper car better with minimum effort. Apple puts huge limitations on manufacturers for their implementation of CarPlay. I lean on CarPlay in my Air quite a bit to make up for shortcomings in the native infotainment, but in cars that satisfy everything well (good...

    4 Airs and 3 Gravitys

They’re in short supply and if I was a Gravity owner, I’d likely be displeased with an Air loaner so I do understand.

    4 Airs and 3 Gravitys

That’s what I’d think. I’m heavily interested and living with one for as long as I had the loaner would’ve made a good case for them getting more of my money in a year when the lease is up.
